That’s some weak ass shit Under maritime law, the master or person in charge of a vessel has a strict legal duty to render assistance to any individual or vessel found at sea in danger of being lost, provided it can be done without serious danger to their own vessel or crew.

It's too fucking bad Iran doesn't have a submarine fleet patrolling the seas. Zuckerberg's yacht being sunk because of us bombing Iran would be a true punishment for everything we did this year and last year.

Forbes can eat my shit... They don't park a Billionaire's Yacht out in the water without a CREW... never happens... Even a skeleton Crew monitors the Radio, the weather and for intruders..

You are supposed to monitor channel 16, the emergency coast guard channel. Then, if you start a convo you move to a different channel. Also, if they have radio ai (positioning system) they’d also get an alarm for the boat in distress. It is loud.

BULLSHIT, he wasn't on board----BULLSHIT....he's that big an asshole & his wife ain't much better by supportinghis racism & his evil----New Mexico says "PAY UP" FUCKERBERG, 1 BILLION DOLLAR fine for what he did to kids on FBook

They HAVE to deny it. It's a crime under United States Code AND international maritime law to refuse to respond to a ship in distress. SINK EVERY OLIGARCH YACHT.

Look, man, everyone on board had been abducted by aliens at the time the call came in. They were returned after assistance was no longer needed. Or possibly, they were all doing their required neuro-upgrades at the time. Mandatory Meta time so Zuckerberg wouldn’t feel sad?

Powerful metaphor for what oligarchs are doing to the general public. We're drowning financially, emotionally, and physically. Their apathy and abject cruelty is a feature of our system, not a bug.

In the end, Zuckerberg's crew did NOT respond to a call for assistance. Why were they monitoring a different channel than the one being used to broadcast the call? Why was the ship that aided the stranded boat on the correct channel when Zuckerberg's yacht was not?

Back in the day Lays had an online competition to come up with a flavor for its next potato chip and the internet did what the internet does. This graphic hit Digg and I laughed so hard at the Pepperoni Dogfart one I almost choked. So I immediately started using it as a handle.

Sorry, p-d, but the 'Loser Lineup' posted was prob. developed by a bunch of gross out-loving juveniles. But, it MADE ME LOOK! ... & so discovered 26 weird flavors suggested - by foodie-respecting ADULTS! - all the way back to 2014. Who knew? 😄😎: masslive.com share.google/LO4AklXPswUn...

And his crew were not on board? They unanimously chose to ignore the norms of maritime law and tradition. Something most sailors are pretty particular about as next time it might be them. So can he prove he was somewhere else?

There are no "sailors" on these yachts, just semi-competent pretty people hired to look good and kiss ass. Even the "Captains" running things are questionable. They consider themselves above it all and are more worried about a scuff in the hull than doing the right thing. They're a scourge.

It's in every way true. Absolutely 100% a factual statement. The only people who would disagree are the twat owners or the twats working for them. The only possible, very rare exception could possibly be an onboard engineer. Yacht crew and "captain" are a danger to anyone/thing around them.

If there's a captain on board, the captain makes the decision, regardless of what the owner wants. Would he take the yacht in the middle of a hurricane if the owner wanted it to? The 'no owner on board theory' is assinine.

and it's actually, a new class of super yacht , . . . even bigger , more ginormous than , . . . ( as who could make do with just a wee super yacht when one can have a " mega-yacht ? " ) making it the ' Meta mega yacht ' 🙄

[Press release] "Mr. Zuckerberg has a reputation for being a humanitarian. Sadly, his superyacht was not equipped with a poverty based radio system and couldn't possibly have been ignorant of the needs of others, even if he wanted to. No damage to the superyacht, thank goodness!"

Why is this something to write about? I don’t even have safe drinking water in my crappy town and you think I give a shit about if some ass hat was on his yacht when another boat needed help? *sigh* Feudalism sucks.

Fqk off Zukq….U stink lique ignorant middle school bullies copying behaviors of dope dealer & criminal kids instead of the smart serious kids & athletes… becuz of many physical & mental inadequacies. Like fatso emulating Putin instead of following intelligent Scandinavia’s happiest peoples govt’s.

Even if he wasn't, there wasn't a second in command? The boat was just... there unmanned? Even if it was a call for assistance and not a distress call (distinct), no one could pick a receiver and ask for more information or offer to relay the message? That's one hell of a Freudian slip

There was a full crew on Zuck’s boat. Also, he’s *never* 1st in command, even when on board. He’s a passenger. The captain is in command and it’s the captain who bears the responsibility for this violation of maritime law.

This was originally reported by a YouTube sailing news channel. They reported that that the coastguard made DSC calls to both of Musk's boats in the area (it also has a support boat). The captain of the cruise ship that did render assistance also seemed to confirm that.

THANK YOU! I guarantee no one else could have done that and its because Trump controls the department that granted the approval and he controls the business. No 'arms length' consideration here. Where are the legislators who should be calling on the IG to explain/investigate. Worst of the worst.

Yes the people refuse to stop supporting their businesses. Putting selfish reasons and entitled justification, behind their hypocrisy. Meta is Facebook, Instagram, etc. Even supposedly liberal celebrities, refuse to stop using them. So nothing will change and democracy will die. Own your shit USA.

It doesn't matter if that spawn of Ronald McDonald was on the boat or not. He plays no direct part in operating it. The ship's crew was there, and they should have responded. "We were operating on a different channel" is a bullshit excuse, FCC regulations require them to monitor channel 16.

Mhmmm, that's what they're saying is it? Because it seems to me a regular crew would assist a boat in distress, but an over entitled billionaire might override a decision like that!

Zuckerberg’s superyacht failing to help a fellow boat in trouble is indicative of his and the overall attitude of these billionaires toward other people. They only are concerned with how they benefit, not with how anyone else can. It was inhumane what happened and probably against maritime law.

The 'they were on a different radio channel' bit is also ridiculous. Not only does the law require listening on Channel 16 (the emergency channel,) but to allow that to happen without needing two radios, every single radio changes channel to 16 automatically when a distress call is broadcast.

Yeah, right… we all know #META lies. They’ve been lying to #America for 30? 40yrs And of course they’re lying 🤦🏻‍♀️
