Would love to see other big game jam realities like @globalgamejam.bsky.social to boost this message. The situation is first and foremost tragic at a personal level, but also for the game jam community as a whole.

Inscryption started as a Ludum Dare?!? What the heck, is that version available somewhere?

Moving to itch where it's one of many events would kill anything that makes it special. Personally I think it would be awesome if stewardship could pass around in the community, with an option of Mike coming back when he's ready. @ramiismail.com would be a good candidate to start off with I think

Someone alert pirate software - we could be done with this in 2 streams flat.

I make at least one of the both ludum dare organised each year … I feel kinda sad but I think its impossible the community doesn’t regroup to continue the legacy Mike has created.
