In April, I was kicked off of X. Now, YouTube is threatening to delete the Nerd Reich podcast. Anyone have experience dealing with this kind of thing? It's clearly a coordinated campaign to kill our channel via false complaints, but it appears YouTube will nuke our channel in the next two days.

If you have a friend that works for a giant tech company in any capacity (Amazon, Apple, etc.) those companies have direct contacts for these issues at Google that regular folk do not. Your friend will probably know someone who knows someone who can slip them that contact info so it can get to you

After 1.5 years with no problems, we're now getting fake "copyright strikes" filed every day. Two in the last day, and I'm sure a third one is on the way. That means the podcast will be terminated, and it appears there is no way to prevent this.

Peter Thiel is clearly a petty, thin-skinned, whiny-assed little bitch, working behind the scenes to do to you what he did to Gawker. If it isn't Thiel then it's one of his petty, thin-skinned, whiny-assed little bitch confederates in Silicon Valley. #ItHasHappenedHere

I know other channels are dealing with it, but I'm not sure what the answer is. Some of them have threathened to delete pubilcally to draw attention to it.

Consider starting a Vimeo site for all your content now in case they take down your channel. Sounds like you’ve injured the feelings of the tech boys. Good luck!

I find it hard to believe there aren't at least some fans of yours amongst the employees of YouTube. Maybe that's too much to hope for. Still, there needs to be awareness of this censorship campaign, which seems demonstrably unjustified. I guess YT doesn't claim to be democratic.

I was mass reported in January and then in February resulting in my third account there being suspended, all on x After that I decided to leave the cespit6behind for good

I started following you after that article in *The Guardian*. I can't help you specifically, but my QItalia account was also banned from X after being reported. They hold all the cards—we need to do something. Any suggestions?

Unless the government told them to take down content or the channel then the first amendment doesn't apply. Corporations can do whatever they want and the use agreement will spell that out. Any one channel, even the very largest is still peanuts to the company in terms of profit.

You don't need YouTube. It's nice and convenient, but not vital. You'll be in serious trouble would you be relying on YouTube. Yes, there's a network effect, but one shouldn't be afraid of looking at alternatives. People will follow wherever you go, and new ones will discover you.

The problem is if you're relying on YouTube on ad revenue then you're beholden to the whims of advertisers and the ad peddlers. We either need a different approach to advertising or you need to just share your videos somewhere that ads are not part of the picture...

This policy picked up on YT post TT sale. Search vids/content = how to challenge the strikes. Getting past bot responses to a human = problematic on purpose = re: creator networks. Leeja Miller = example creator consult. Seeing in my feeds 6-9 months increase = My 2024 Prediction off by 6 months
