It looks like one of the emergency slides may have improperly deployed? Which if so i would like to know A LOT more about how that happened. Did a crew member mess up the arming/disarming procedures, or did the mechanism malfunction on mfing Air Force One??? Plane shouldn't fly until replaced.

Doors on newer commercial jets arm automatically now. Who knows how a jet customized/configured in Qatar then hurriedly retrofitted in U.S. may operate differently. Safety is probably secondary to gold gilding.

Yikes I remember back in the 80's on a DC 9 in Fargo ND,l disarmed the 1 left door, went to push the door open, the slide pack fell on to tarmac outside the plane l was so shook l fainted when l woke up..they said the snow on the ground cushioned it from deploying l still tremble thinking about it

So uh when they took the air stairs away, does that mean no one’s getting ON (& they’re taking it out of service) or no one’s getting OFF (and they’re flying down a slide with a questionably functioning door)…?

y'all replacing a slide is not an easy undertaking. it is a significant piece of the aircraft door and can cost $30,000-$70,000 on a regular degular commercial aircraft. This is Air Force One!

The other 747 that is a twin of the usual Air Force One has been at Majors Airport in Greenville TX since June. That is the specialized facility where maintenance is done on these planes. It had been running test flights of some sort out of Lackland AFB in San Antonio since February.
