Post

i just submitted it. didn't take long, just wanted to make sure the topic was sound. not sure if there is space to fit in the speech but hey 😅 i tried!

I see. My idea is that I was using Godot Engine scripts to create procedural assets and generative art, and some cool things I learned along the way. I'll have to refine my talk though 🤔

I wish it was possible to hold GodotCon events in more open countries. Having it in Europe or US basically means it is impossible for anyone not from a first world country to join. The wait time for a US visa appointment is 120 days here, and that is just to apply.

To organize a GodotCon we need a lot of support from a local user group. If you want to help getting it off the ground, please get in touch :)

The tl;dr is: The biggest hurdle is finding a venue. To do that, having someone local helps a lot because they know what options are available and who to talk with. Then it's the volunteers. We don't have a lot of staff at the Foundation to do everything that needs to be done, so we need their help.
