The ones where there's answers where people only ever say it in one US state rule. I could answer every single other question completely at random and answer "what do you call the night before Halloween" with "Devil's Night" and it would accurately sort me into Michigan every single time

That might be related a Filipino idiom “a Tikbalang is getting married“ which refers to it raining on a sunny day A Tikbalang is a weird ass horse demon that shapeshifts into your loved ones to kill you, and you can beat it by wearing all of your clothes inside out SE Asian mythology is a trip

also these make me smile because i completely break them as a british person who listened to enough american podcasts and hung out on enough american skype calls as a young teenager for it to throw everything off. you will never pin me down, computer

i always love seeing what these give me with no "you are obviously from london, dickhead" option and this one has decided i'm from boston. beautiful. language is a wonderful thing

the only one I've heard is the sunshower one and the devil wife one, but the latter only as a "did you know some people call it that?" which I've then gone on to do because it's funny to get into the theological implications that the devil can affect weather, and also... has a wife?

immediately started quoting ryfia going "The devil? beating his wife?" and was so happy to see someone already posted the scene. arc rise fantasia was released the same year as ffxiii
