Checking in on our tech overlords, one is on his way to Rome to give a series of talks about the antichrist and another has convinced himself that thinking is fake

How much more evidence is actually needed to support the idea that having billions of dollars causes severe brain damage

Honestly, I think that behavior starts to creep in at like $250k a year. It’s an amount that you start to have the ability to ignore or offload uncomfortable things. But there’s definitely a problem to begin with to even have the mindset to gain the billions of dollars in the first place.

I don't know exactly how many mega-billionaires there actually are but I don't think it's a lot, and most of the ones I am aware of are severely pathological

That's because the axe convinced the trees that it was one of them...because it's handle was made of wood. And our billionaires now are still eugenicists. Nothing's changed. The problem is unfettered capitalism. Until we all decide to change that system, this will keep happening.

I always think of Howard Hughes as being "patient zero". He was, in fact, a brilliant innovator (what these Chad's pretend to be). Ended his days naked in a Las Vegas hotel room with kleenex boxes on his feet, surrounded by "trusted" Mormons.

Because there’s a toxic culture that sees wealth as success, as well as confusing arrogance & aggression for competence & merit. Guess who has had many fingers in the pie, influencing culture, degrading education, and distorting media…

I finally saw my first “I bought this before Elon went crazy” bumper sticker at CVS yesterday. I was just too pleased to see it to tell the lady “he was ALWAYS crazy, it’s just that he hadn’t yet been visible about it because of some sense of self control and all the media calling him a genius”.

somebody had a good post on here the other day about how AI Psychosis, triggered by the bots' endless fawning sycophancy and willingness to follow any command, is now giving normal people a taste of the deranging social environments that usually only the hyper-wealthy can afford

The fact of having a billion dollars is evidence that you are an incorrigibly selfish twat with no sense of responsibility towards other human beings. Prima facie, you suck

Everyone with the smallest shred of human decency would not amass that much wealth & hoard it all to themselves. This is pathological greed. It is corrosive to all of society. It’s so damn obvious why aren’t we shouting this from the rooftops

In some ways Cuban is the best example of this because he didn't always have a ton of money and isn't evil, but he'll periodically say or do something that indicates he no longer really knows what it's like to human anymore
