People who were upset the other day about the price of the console will be wishing for the day it was just going to be $449.99. Get ready for that first 4 to become a 5…at least.

They just announced the price Wednesday so they already knew tariffs were on their way so maybe they already had the price adjusted for the % they thought the tariffs were gonna be but now have to adjust it a bit more because the tariffs are higher than they expected

For years various people there played the game. Outrage bait, misrepresentations, some light xenophobia. Looking past or trying to silence many with valid criticisms, to frame issues as just being extreme right wing reactionaries. They drove people to the rightwing pipelines, then dropped them off.

I’m still astounded that any gamer could’ve vote for the man who said who impose tariffs and think it wouldn’t hurt their pocket book, but they did. Now they’ll pay for their poor decisions…quite literally.

But you see, conservative talking heads said that tariffs are paid by the other country, not by consumers. "They are not taxes" was repeated over and over. And yet, here we are.

Not shocking, considering Trump went around their workaround for Chinese tariffs by putting them on Vietnam too. Although with how they've priced their stuff, not sure they can pass much more on to consumers without seriously killing any momentum NS2 has.

They made the Vietnam push during his first term when he first pushed tariffs on China. So it was Trump inspired move to avoid such things & diversify their manufacturing & plenty of other companies did it too.

I don't know which Asian country is making the Switch 2 at the moment, but it has most likely been hit with an up to 46% tariff, so yeah, they'll have to raise prices by quite a bit, if not the full xx-46%.

So, who is paying the tariff costs on the Switch 2? Is it Nintendo of America or the individual stores like Target? Whoever is importing the item pays the tariff cost to the US. Couldn’t NOA absorb the costs? Is it particular stores? Could one store absorb the costs and choose to sell it lower?

If you’re mad about this, there are two Senators for your state and one member of the House for your district. Look them up. Call them and email them to let them know you are a constituent and you want them to vote down Trump’s tariffs. Congress has power over tariffs. I call/email everyday.

And VOTE! Special elections, next year's midterms, and every election you can! Politics affect everything whether you choose to vote or not. Don't sit at home and let other people decide who represents you in government!
