This is on a case by case basis, as I know our protest and many others are advertising the location right on the ads. But I imagine some places are worried about outside aggressors and saboteurs and therefore are trying to keep it safe for all.

At a Tesla protest I went to back in March, another protestor suggested chanting “USA USA” when a really horrible MAGA jerk showed up and verbally attacked some of us. Thought that was a great idea.

Can you provide some guidance to protesters ahead of June 14 on how to identify and weed out paid agitators and other bad actors who try to undermine our cause? We’re seeing a ton of that in LA right now, and I’m tired of seeing the cause overshadowed by these thugs.

Drone journalism helped people understand the scale of protests, the interactions with context, and abuses at Standing Rock. The TFL list was an effective way of interfering with journalist showing the public the scales of the abuse and the protest. Please help.

The military parade had been planned for months to honor the anniversary of the US Army, which is a very normal thing to do. NoKings doesn't mention this at all on their main website. It also happens to coincide with Trump's bday, and it would be odd for any president to not make mention of that.

I'm concerned that not spreading out these protests allows a militarized response. One protest in a city can be "contained" and the protesters can be targeted. Ten smaller protests cannot be manipulated in the same way.

The protesters seem to have an interesting strategy. They have divided up into small groups, each of which attracts a group of police and leads them along a street for blocks. The police would be "clearing" the street, except that it fills in immediately as they pass by. Definitely peaceful.

Please can every site have common deescalation techniques to use, whether it’s sitting down, dancing, saying the Pledge of Allegiance, singing,wearing Peace signs, giving out flowers — the media keeps replaying violent incidents as they are newsworthy and feed the right wing narrative

A big concern for Saturday & all future protests: what to do if instigators (Proud Boys, etc.) attempt to create fires, damage, or chaos. During the George Floyd protests in MN, multiple arrests for damage were proven to be right wing instigators. What guidance would you offer if we see this?

They were masked, so it was hard to identify them. Police eventually caught up, but days & weeks later. Trump is hoping for escalation to justify deploying troops. If protesters don't attempt to stop them, we get blamed for their resulting damage and Trump gets his wish. Is filming them enough?

I'm serious about this: we need taco trucks and bands at our protests. Make them protest fests. Because it will attract more people, it makes it harder for the police to escalate violence, it shifts the energy of the movement. Only caveat, no alcohol sales.
