Then you'll hear that live service is an evitability to sustain companies because games have gotten too expensive. "If we make the games YOU want, then we HAVE to make it live service, because that's the cost of business now" Reducing costs is treated as an impossibility.

every year -it gets easier and cheaper to make amazing graphics -aaa spends more -aaa lays more people off -executives get bigger bonuses HMM WHAT COULD BE OCCURRING HERE

you're helping them launder this shit. if you get people blaming the devs for how unsustainable this shit is that's a great day for them. the amount spent on something is not necessarily the amount it costs

not to mention it's common to have just insane amounts of avoidable waste. i've worked at places so dysfunctional that nobody could work more than the equivalent of 8 hours a week, and everyone just sat around and did nothing and soaked up the pay because it was all you could do

I agree, except with DLSS, FSR, and other supersampling/framegenerating shit. Those were only created because graphical fidelity stagnated in 2015 and Nvidia/AMD needed new tech to justify new GPUs, and AAA studios wanted to fire optimization teams. THIS type of "graphical advancement" I'm against.
