Where are all the good guys with guns? The people who have spent the last 50 years telling us that we had to make sure every American has a gun in case we needed them to protect ourselves from tyranny? And where are the stories to point this out (they may be there; I just don't know)?

On the plus side, now we know we can ban guns. They were just toys the entire time, and the cowards insisting on playing with them will utterly fold to government agents breaking the law to oppress them.

Probably defeated by the bad guys with tanks, drones, bombs, body armor, machine guns (remember, in the 2A land of the free, the good guys are only allowed to have old-timey obsolete firearms), helicopters, etc. It is a nice marketing ploy for the gun industry.

You answered the question—There aren’t any good people with guns. Good people don’t fuck around with deadly weapons bc good people don’t think about killing. It’s not what good people do.

An actual news or magazine article on this, and interviews with people at gun shows, etc. asking this question would be fascinating. Local gun clubs, NRA chapters, etc. I have wondered this myself.

Good guys aren't typically very interested in guns under normal conditions, although some may be getting more interested now. Those who have been gun nuts these last 50 years were either criminals wanting to use violence to oppose the law or right wing fascists wanting to end democratic government.

Sure, but imagine for a moment what would happen if one, or a small handful, of citizens really did shoot at ICE. They'd be summarily executed in the street or disappeared. And it'd give the regime exactly the excuse they need to instigate Martial law. We need to be thinking like Ghandi, not Rambo

There are armed rogue agencies in the streets murdering people. They rappel out of helicopters to drag people from their apartments in the middle of the night. The martial law is already here.

Agreed. And if they fired at ICE from cover, that would also be the excuse to invoke insurrection laws. I believe even if they fought back with non lethal weapons like paintball guns, they’d use it as an excuse.

Hope people catch that it's a protest song written after yet another mass shooting. His two albums are amazing & on Spotify. I get nothing out of sharing his work other than maybe his music will connect w/people the way it's helped me through the last couple of years. Do yourself a favor & listen.

The ones who meant that honestly are biding their time for the right moment. The remaining 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% were lying the whole time.

I’m a lawful firearms owner. I recently sold them all because it’s the firearms, not the person that is the problem. Sonewhere between six and nine firearms in America for every man, woman and child. That’s obscene.

Yeah that was a good one, right? The "when the government comes to take our rights away" crowd. As if it hadn't been clear all along most of them would have voted for exactly that government

The good guys with guns understand that Trump, Miller, Noem, DHS, ICE, are deliberately provoking violent reaction, to justify an even more violent escalation, and provide a "legal" excuse to invoke formal laws justifying further, extreme official response.

They're the ones that lies about self defense are for. They need plausible deniability to continue to support, or refuse to violently oppose the regime. It's appealing because, if you shoot ICE you're going to have a rough time.

The govt commits violence against the people every day. People reacting to this violence is self-defense. No one is forcing you to do anything, but let others choose their own acceptable level of risk.
