DSA has won a handful of national elections and the democratic party establishment are already providing cover for the far right to start cracking down on the left

They’re gonna have to choose soon whether to side with their base or with Trump, and they’ll likely side with Trump. As much as they hate him, they’re genuinely foolish enough to think if they side with him he won’t come after them next. Goobers actually believe we’ll have elections lol

Jeez, let's give them a minute & see how they work out. I remember just before Mamdani got elected, all the rich people were saying "well, that is it, I'm moving out!" & not one of them did because it isn't so awful having Mamdani as mayor. I think people should give these new electees a chance.

Establishment Dems may be nervous now, but just wait until the DSA starts fielding progressive candidates to represent swing districts in red states such as Idaho or even Florida! /s

Forget about New York! When the Hell are the Democratic Socialists of America going to field prospective candidates in places like Florida, Iowa, or Ohio??!

I'm not sure if your comment is related to the required dues by the DSA to joim, but they have an application to waive the fees below all the dues information.

Its about that amongst many others, I want to pay my dues and am currently in the hiring process (if it falters I cry) and Ill be able to do a lot when I have money again and want to do some actual praxis.

You realize that even the multi-party European systems result in a two party system in the end right? The need to form and hold a coalition majority divides into in coalition and out. We just dispense with the coalition forming here at this point.

You have no idea how governance works in Europe, that's very evident, and you should consider learning more or shutting up. Also, nobody mentioned Europe. Political parties are a poison, a scourge to be destroyed. In an ideal democracy there are no parties, only factions and ideaologies.

Uuuuh no it is waaay more varied than that not all parties form coalitions if they win enough or the coalitions are paper thin there’s more pressure. The dissolving government thing in some of them. Others have parties that are regional powerhouses. It’s not like a two party system.

Coalitions aren't parties. An infamous recent example this is the FDP in Germany. They were part of the government majority, started going against its direction, blew up the coalition and then lost all seats in parliament in the following snap election.

Okay I have a legit question because i am starting to hope but I'm also calibrating a bit. DSA=true believers and high effort anti-establishment, jury out on funding but appears legit Green=spoilers and holdovers, RU funded Dems=half captured, quarter true believers, quarter corpo shill?

Honestly the old time, at best middle of road Democrats like Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries are more afraid of the new breed of Democrats including the Democratic Socialists than the QpubliKKKans are.

DSA has not won any elections, you're lying. They do not put forth candidates of their own because they themselves do not identify as a political party. Fight Agency is winning elections because being a fake populist in a decaying liberal party is easy.

Centrist Dem loses to someone on their left: We must declare war on our opposition to protect our identity and the sanctity of the party against extremists! Centrist Dem loses to far right: Whelp, we just need to be more racist and more bigoted against LGBT people, it's necessary for the country.

"is that approach based on like, anything, or do you just default to cruelty like republicans" shut up you uppity prole bitch. shut the fuck up no one asked you! Firstname, I need $30 to stop Trump; before it's too late.

need to start framing DSA as anti-trump now! that way, if the democratic party establishment continues to oppose DSA, they can just be called pro-Trump. we love false dichotomies, don’t we folks
