“Pedocon theory does not involve secret networks of underground tunnels where adrenochrome is harvested for reptilian overlords. Pedocon theory is not hiding beneath twelve layers of misdirection. Pedocon theory is rooted in the basic politics of the reactionary right.”

liberalcurrents.comWe Need to Talk About Pedocon TheoryThe connection been Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein is no accident, but reveals a deep logic at the heart of reactionary politics.

because it's perceived a white man in a position above a brown woman, thus the hierarchy is maintained. For some right wingers it is a problem though, but they all fall in line behind trump.

Conservative core ideals orbit around domination, predation, and valuing humans —especially the vulnerable, including children— only as commodities and objects to be consumed for the sake of profit, power, and personal gratification. All other aspects of their ideals bend to the gravity of this core

You're not buying the whole secret tunnel, adrenochrome-fueled reptilian overlords narrative, huh? That's refreshing. So, you're saying Pedocon theory is just a fancy name for the far-right's favorite conspiracy theories. I think you might be onto something there.

abuse of children was considered normal until not far ago.. marriage at 12 or even earlier was legal.. liberal thinking considerably improved the sort of children.. conservatives were kind of forced to follow the trend.. until libs lost it due to laziness.. now is time for revenge of monsters...

this is what google gemini says? >>Based on information as of June 2025, the following U.S. states have *no statutory minimum marriage age* when all exemptions are taken into account: * California (!!) * Mississippi * New Mexico * Oklahoma <<

No, see, the conservatives think *they* should own the bodies of trans children, not that *the parents* of trans children should own the bodies of trans children. If the parents of a child don’t make the choices they want, they believe they are entitled to take possession of the child.

I mean, this country is founded on the idea that a person’s body is private property that can be bought and sold. If you are the kind of reactionary creep who believes people, including children, can and should be your property? You might consider fucking them to be your god-given right.

I once stated on the other site that the doomsday prepper fantasy was a Lacanian reconstruction of Lot and his daughters by repressed conservative men and boy that take has been continually vindicated by time. It becomes increasingly bare the more vulgar society becomes.

I think you're both right. Cuz like: Yes, this is the personal impulse driving these ppl, but also "Conservatism", as a political philosophy and movement, has made this impulse into an ideology. The idea that rich ppl *should* be beyond the law is normative to them, as is transgression-as-status

I’d reply that these ideas come from the dark underbelly of conservatism. There is still a mainstream Tory conservatism that’s rooted in respect for law and tradition. Or so I am naive enough to believe.

I really hope that there is, honestly. Ppl will always disagree, "conservatives" will always exist, and I'd prefer to live in a world where that movement wasnt defined by ppl who've convinced themselves indulging their darkest impulses to power and contempt was a virtue.

But if you ask conservatives "should rich people be above the law?" they'll say no-- BUT does the wealth hierarchy their ideas enable allow rich people to exist functionally above the law? Yes, of course. And if you point this out they'll sputter about the USSR and how hierarchy is inevitable..

But abuse, including the kind that is allowed to fester within conservative structures, is not just or even primarily the domain of the rich. It is primarily (although not exclusively) the domain of men, but that is to be expected when men are taught to control women and children

I like the use of the word irruption. Should be more common. One of the confusing parts for me is that followers of QAnon and similar are ready kill in defense of children harmed by pedophiles yet are steeped in Pedocon belief systems. Huh? Church youth pastors to Republican POTUS are guilty.

Just gonna note that I was among the, if not the very, first to systematically link political conservatism with the organized effort to effectively legalize child abuse. You can trace it through layers of right wing advocacy, but it reflects the cultural norm of half the country, which…

This article’s about the conservative movement, not politicians specially. So, we know liberals are better because they advocate for policies that make sexual abuse harder to hide, such as more expansive VPOs, stricter homeschooling requirements, stronger sexual abuse laws, child marriage laws, etc

This is similar to what I’ve been thinking about how conservative Christian “values” leads to the rampant abuse we see in these churches: Patriarchy, expected obedience/submission, lack of proper sex education, not believing in consent, shaming victims and protecting abusers. It all goes together.

And when you see all of that, you notice that the only way in which the acceptance of Trump in these circles is an anomaly is that he’s an outsider. That’s it. Everything else about him is perfectly in line with the way leaders in religious right circles actually behave.

They are constantly covering it up in their own communities, so they know it's bad and shameful and therefore project it onto their political and cultural enemies.

Excellent analysis! I've been screaming the same thing for years, before the term "pedocon" was coined. The patterns have been obvious. Note that the largest, most powerful organizations that have sheltered and enabled pedos - the Catholic Church, Southern Baptist Convention, the Mormon Church,...

Bill Gothard's IBLP, and others, ALL are major GOP supporters. And think about the golden past they want to bring back, when women and children had no rights - when recent DNA tests PROVED that incest was rampant. They don't see non-white/straight men as human beings.
