Since folks are bringing up their "Klip is an asshole" story, here's mine. Four years ago he co-authored an Intercept story that was just... wrong. On almost every level. And helped kick off the MAGA obsession that the Biden admin colluded with social media to "censor conservatives." I called it out

breaking my attempt at concentration to share a tidbit about Klippenstein, which is that he was a key vector of harassment 6 years ago when the internet decided to come after me for a bad Washington Post article. I haven't forgotten, or forgiven anyone

was it one of his specials where he generally has the correct data in front of him, and yet somehow just … wildly misunderstands it? That’s the pattern I’ve always seen. Totally failing to understand what he’s looking at, and/or weirdly fixating on something that’s completely beside the point.

It wasn't data. But, yes, he had some documents which he wildly misunderstood in ways that SHOULD have been embarrassing and should have resulted in the retraction of the entire article.

I wish I could remember what it was, or if I wrote about it, but there was one a few years ago that I just remember my jaw kind of hitting the floor, like, I think this guy is stupid and doesn’t understand what he’s looking at here.

He did not take kindly to it. Below is the article I wrote. His initial response was to post a meme at me "here is the attention that you ordered" which he later deleted. The he and his editor (Ryan Grim) started arguing that my article was the real error, because... www.techdirt.com/2022/11/02/b...

techdirt.comBullshit Reporting: The Intercept’s Story About Government Policing Disinfo Is Absolute GarbageDo not believe everything you read. Even if it comes from more “respectable” publications. The Intercept had a big story this week that is making the rounds, suggesting that “leak…

... I had initially said that one of the documents they released was already public, when the truth was only part of the document was public (though the unpublic stuff they revealed didn't change anything). They still got the whole story wrong. Still refused to issue a correction of any kind...

And their bullshit, misleading, and just wrong reporting was definitely a key part in driving the false narrative about the Biden admin and social media which helped contribute to a whole shit ton of nonsense. So, yeah, not a fan of Ken.

He's a complete jackass that spends his time trafficking in rage bait.

The funny thing about this clip is that Ken has maximized liberal infighting by cutting out the part where she says, ”and that's not good enough and we should be pissed off about it." Don't pay attention to clowns like this whose agenda is apparently just making people mad.

I'm always surprised when someone I respect reposts him. You know how some corporate email systems flag messages as potentially unsafe based on the sender? I can ignore it, but it's a heads up that the sender is either unknown or what is known is suspicious? I know enough I'd flag him.

"Drunk tattoos and sexting-out-of-wedlock struck me as the most Marine shit ever. I literally know Marines who’ve done both but later grew up and became decent guys." That one of the soft pass things that's bugged me about the Platner narrative. When the sexting shit broke, Platner claimed 1/

Oh my god the Twitter files! I know libertarians that *believed* that this meant Biden was corrupt, that Trump supporters were rightfully screwed out of 2020, and that January 6th was *justified*.
