Boris and Natasha also not quite as relevant anymore!

They would if they were among the handful who had seen it. The irony of Rocky and Bullwinkle finally perfecting the if a tree falls in the forest bit, and no one saw it.

I though Natasha was a goth icon

Welcome to your elder years. can I get you a Nirvana t-shirt?

It was in reruns on iirc Nickelodeon in the 90s and I think it held up very well but there's a huge recency bias. And if it's on a streaming platform, either it's on one I don't subscribe to or else maybe it is on one I subscribe to but I've never seen it get promoted there.

My prewritten obit for DeNiro ledes with "Famed actor Robert DeNiro, known to a generation of moviegoers as the villain from 2000's The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, is dead at"

Boris Badenov: “Allright moose and squirre, no funny stuff!” Bullwinkle: “Hmm-that’s what the show’s been so far!”

I mean it was barely on TV. Cartoon Network, Disney and Nickelodeon didn't really air it. Ironically kids probably know who Mr Peabody is because of Netflix. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mr....

Ah, here we go: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9se-... Looks just as terrible as I remember.

It was part of the cultural zeitgeist.

agaaaain?

Speaking as a 34yo – a lot of people over the age of 30, too.

How about Boris and Natasha?

A travesty, I say, a travesty!

Or Elvin and the chipmunks.

I’m British (middle aged) and watched it when I was a kid here in the UK. I had family in Calgary where there was a Rocky and Bullwinkle’s Family, Food ‘n’ Fun (like a Chuck E Cheese’s) in the 80’s. Many happy memories of that place!

OK, over 40, English, and I know them. But I can't remember where from!

I believe it. The live-action movie was so bad it was bad. Unlike The Flintstones or something

Every day we get further from the days of growing up with the work of Mr Rogers and Jim Henson in children's everyday lives.

I just turned 46 and it was an old property when I was a kid. I'd say younger people wouldn't know about Tom and Jerry if it weren't for the movie a few years ago. We've lived so long that George Jetson is canonically turning 4 at the end of this month.

Monty Python. One day those words will be meaningless. Not today, not tomorrow, but one day.

I have failed as a parent.

Also 30, and I vaguely about Rocky and Bullwinkle from references my parents make. If I recall correctly, there are Soviets named Boris and Natasha/Natalya? Something like that

I'm late 40s and they barely register for me, but I'm likely an outlier

Oh, that's good to hear! It's such a treasure. It was already off the air before I was born, but I came to love it in syndication despite our local stations' inability to keep them in one time slot for long enough to follow any of the plots. I own all 5 seasons on DVD.

I watched a decent amount of it somewhere in the 90s. Couldn’t tell you where though

30? Seriously? I'm thinking more like 60.
