Most likely, Trump will be told that he is not above the law! A convicted felon enforcing law and order from the White House? Criminals will be partying for the next four years at the expense of taxpayers.

The judge used 2 words about his plans that I can't remember. Those 2 words were in the effect of meaning that he can still give Trump prison time if he so feels inclined. He was waiting on the SCOTUS decision. Merchan figured they were going to approve the appeal. They didn't.

About the only power anyone has over Trump is tp speak truth to him. TO HIS FACE. All he wants is acceptance, and therefore no one should give him that, and they should make sure he understands that he is not welcome in civilized company. He should be told the truth out loud in public.

Merchan is a coward who did nothing while Trump et al attacked his own daughter. He’s a lily-livered spineless punk who will do nothing to Trump because he supports Trump. Loves him. He’ll try to couch it as patriotism and “country first.” You’ll never convince me he’s not a butt-kissing 🤡

I expect he wants to put a fine point on the idea that he's handling things this way in deference to the office itself and not the person about to hold the office. There's really nothing else to say - he got away with it.

A few years ago, a female judge's son was killed right after being assigned one of Donald's many cases. She immediately withdrew. Ivana died exactly one day before she was due to give a deposition in his NY case. Justice Merchan has already been threatened by Trump's gang. Pay attention.

I set a calendar event on my phone and double checked the time zone. I know we’ll be disappointed somehow tomorrow, but I’m excited that it even goes this far. I can’t wait to hear from like a dozen different YT channels that cover it.

I suspect it's *either* that he has some choice words for Creamsicle Caligula that he wants the world to hear, or he fears that Diaper Don will try to falsely claim the judge defamed him and try to jail the judge so Judge Merchan wants everyone to know what he *didn't* say.

Who cares. The judge choked and is bowing down to Trump like the rest of them. Barely a slap On the wrist, when others went to jail for people who conspired this crime with him. Canada doesn’t want you keep your corruption in the US

I thought Merchan would at least say something like "if you were a normal criminal I would have sentenced you to x years in jail and x fine. " And a scolding. But there was nothing.
