She doesn’t even share all the things she does and I respect the hell out of that

Jesus and Lao Tzu both talked about doing good deeds quietly. Dolly embodies this humility. She is a lovely human. Let's take Jackson off of the $20 and put HER pic there!

She’s also likely having a good time doing it, too! Ever noticed how anxious most of the really wealthy seem to be, even if they are obviously depressed?

She is the proverbial neighbor who leaves a turkey on the poor neighbor’s stoop and doesn’t sign her name.

If only the Christian Nationalist crowd followed Dolly’s understanding of Christianity……

one of her disaster relief funds is like the text book example of how a charity should function. raised money for people effected by a disaster, gave it all away to the people, closed down

We just got a book from her in the mail

Just wrote this to help more people be aware of what she did.

FYI for those who missed it, here's a short doc about it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=kInU...

With most celebrities when their name pops up it's like "Oh what fresh hell is this?". With Dolly it means learning some new staggering act of generosity you knew nothing about previously.

If Dolly ran for president, I don't care who you have running against her—it wouldn't even be close.

Everytime we do UBI it seems like a weird trick like how could it be so simple and it just is that easy. Their lives got so much easier and stress dropped significantly without a doubt.

she's also one of the VERY FEW people all the usual claims are true about she came from nothing and could justifiably say she grew up dirt poor she wouldn't tell you she was self-made because she acknowledged all the friends she made on the way she knew she wanted to be that person for others

I googled to fact check the same day thing before posting it because this is bluesky and could only get confirmation that she had them on the same tape which means she is pretty sure they happened close together possibly the same day, so I'm HEDGING FOR THE WELL ACTUALLYS. LOL

I can confirm that this isn’t a rumor, since I’m on my high school’s band board this year — she’s donated to every public school music program in at least the Nashville area, and almost certainly the entire state. Her going royalty rate for schools performing her music is also $1.

for instance, unless you have or were a band kid in the South, you have no idea how many school marching bands, primarily Black ones, get their uniform and instrument money from Dolly because she knows that keeps kids in school and on college track.

The short answer is "her best".. I adore her. Everyone should be more Dolly.

I've been screaming for years that this is the way and high key anyone-not any *celebrity*, any ONE-who wants to take the work that they're doing as a bludgeoning tool against others should be auto-defaulted to 'do not proceed, do not pass go, do not trust'.
