The next time the Democrats get Congress, the Senate and the WH, they need to make this an issue. Every district is a consistent geometrical shape and each district is with a certain percentage of each other for every state. And sine we're worried about voter bein equal, drop the Electoral College.

Well obviously 🤷🏼‍♀️ Look for them introducing a bill that gerrymandering is only allowed if it benefits the Republican Party, otherwise illegal.

These arguments have been going on at least 1900. Republicans want to draw diagonal lines in certain districts, while Democrats want to make straightforward rectangular lines. It’s all a power grab, and voters should recognize it, long before we fill out our Census forms in early 2030.

Just keep saying it over and over. Republicans started this abnormal mid-Census redistricting for partisan advantage and then expected us to roll over. Unlike the Texas GOP, Dems in CA and VA answered by putting an appropriate countermeasure on the ballot which voters approved.

Republicans aren’t used to Democrats counterpunching when Republicans cheat. They are whining like cranky toddlers because Democratic voters fought back in both California and Virginia. Democrats did it the right way, by leaving it up to the voters to decide.

We take it to the people in the states to ask them if they’d like to do it, and the Republicans tell the governors to tell the legislatures to fix it against the people of those states.

In the Senate it was blocked by the GOP with a filibuster.

And they would have if absentee voting implemented during the pandemic wasn’t abolished by republicans

The only way Republicans win is to find ways to cheat! If elections were fair without gerrymandering they would get their asses kicked from Monday to Sunday and they know it!
