Actual, the payer states, those that pay more in taxes than they get back, and pay for the federal government, are nearly all blue states. The tariffs were not some devious plan, involving large corporations, to take money from consumers and give it to corps. Small biz had to pay tariffs too. All businesses wanted those tariffs stopped before a consumer paid anything more. Tariffs are all on Trump.

Do you have loyalty cards for your supermarkets. If you do all the supermarkets would have a record of everything you bought that had tariffs applied to and therefore could in theory refund you your share of the tariffs.

IIRC, every tax grab from a republican president was, at least partially, continued by the subsequent Dem president. We need guarantees from Dems that want to lead and also actually hold them accountable.

I wish more people realized that when the debt goes up, that's the exact same thing as our tax dollars going up. Only instead of it being represented by a higher dollar amount taken out of our checks, the taxes we owe get extended for a longer period of time in the future. So it hides itself.

Capitalism exists in nature. Many animals have been demonstrated to understand and employ the basic principles underlying money and trading things of equal value. The basic human state seems to be a fusion of socialism and capitalism, much like the system used in Democratic Socialistic states.
