Don't wait til Oct. 17 to vote, unless you must. Many states have early voting periods, up to 46 days before election day. Check your Secretary of State's website. In some areas mail in ballots are already on their way to voters. I plan to complete/return mine within 48 hours. In person be early!

In Oregon, we can check online to verify the status of our ballots to verify if they've been received and accepted or if there is an issue to resolve. I hope other states have a similar system. Then the key is to vote as early as possible and then track your ballot.

Election Day is the end - of your chance to have your voice heard for this election! But the process has to continue on until all of the votes are counted and certified and acknowledged! trump plans to stop the counting in any way he can if and when his stooges are ahead!

VOTE EARLY. Deliver your ballots in person if possible. Check your registrations NOW before deadlines to register pass. If your jurisdiction gives you tear-away ballot receipts, save them and check later to make sure your vote was tabulated. Sign up to be a poll worker. Keep your eyes open.

You got me -- I usually fill in my ballot on Monday before election day and drop off at my voting place on Tuesday, but you're right about leaving time to correct any issues, so I'll vote early. You're right -- they need to get as many as they can processed early, to free up more time for the fight.
