What an enormous, kind, beautiful gesture. Homeless people just need a break sometimes, and this is a wonderful service to community. You are a ray of sunshine. We've watched your videos for many years and benefited in our travels, thanks to you! Our travel motto... what would Rick Steves do?

Where are the wealthy leftists? They should be helping out what this regime is tearing down. We normal, not wealthy, people are doing the supporting but in tjis economy, it's getting harder.

I wish the US had more wealthy people with this humanitarian mindset, putting their money where their mouths are, instead of what we usually get (nothing and then some) from the vast majority of that cohort. Bezos could easily afford dozens of these, for example.

The right really hates this guy. His shows on fascists on PBS is too revealing of their agenda. Glad to see him making things better. This admin wants to make homelessness illegal and throw them all into for profit prisons.

I've been buying his books and following his travel advice since "Thru the backdoor." He had been an excellent guide. It makes me happy to know that I've been supporting, even in a minor way, such a good person.
