Pete Hegseth’s tattoos are the ones that white nationalists get. Federal law enforcement know these symbols well. Hegseth was banned from national guard duty at Biden’s inauguration for those tattoos. The Senate should consider this disqualifying for a nominee for Secretary of Defense—will they?

He's too stupid to just quietly withdraw his name from consideration before he loses his FOX gig. Right now, some more women are seeing those tats, wondering if they belong to the guy who Mickey Finned them, and are calling their lawyers and the Senate.

Zero chance now we have a dictatorship and we are at the point where everyone on GOP is scared to be the voice that speaks out - assuming a few of them would (and soon it will be too late)

Probably not, they will claim ignorance and then tell us later they were not aware of them. If he was detained at a correctional facility that facility would put him on a special watch list due to his gang affiliation.. nypost.com/2024/11/13/u...

nypost.comThe tattooed Secretary of Defense: Here is all of Pete Hegseth’s ink, and what it meansThe “Fox and Friends” presenter, 44, served tours in Afghanistan and Iraq and holds degrees from both Princeton and Harvard.

If he was incarcerated the correctional officers would automatically put him on a special watch list as the gang he belongs to is very dangerous.

When a convicted, felonious rapist nominates an alleged rapist, who also paid his victim hush money to save his job, to be the head of the "defense" department begs the question, isn't this an oxymoron!? Asking for a friend ....

If nomination hearings are held, then Dem senators should hold up large posters of Hegseth and ask him to explain the meaning of the far right tattoos and how those ideas will inform his policy decisions at the Pentagon.

Hell no, unfortunately. What used to be norms are all now gone. Maybe once the masses realize what they have done, we can finally unite again, I hope. With so much hatred out here, I pray that it's possible

No, because part of the plan is to take guns from non-Rs and use the military to stamp out any protests. The R senate know that they are either with them or against them. They are afraid of being the enemy of the Trump/Putin coup.

Trump dined with Nicolas Fuentes and said the Nazis in Charlottesville were fine people. He promoted the replacement theory and a wide range of blood and soil themes. And they voted for him. So why would they oppose his white nationalist appointment now?

Yes you can phone any rep, their phone numbers are published. I suggest you also contact yours, despite their party affiliation or views. The fact that they are flooded with voters insisting they reject all dubious nominations goes on record. They cannot ignore demands of their constituencies 📢

Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski will express concern, but in the end they will vote to confirm along with the other Rep. because they love their hold on power more than than the constitution which they serve.

I don’t think anyone on earth even knows what ‘Deus Vult’, means anymore. It’s just one of those things you say like ‘We the people’ or ‘I absolutely reported those alleged sexual assaults to the authorities’ 🙄

He is unqualified on so many levels. Unfortunately I spent four years waiting on Republican senators to stand up to Trump other than anonymous quotes in the news, and it never happened.

Bet you’d have no problem with it if it was a Che Guevara tattoo 🙃 Anyways, he’s not getting the nom because of the SA stuff. Moot.

I’m from Monterey (father had been the Superintendent at the Naval Post Graduate School). This ‘alleged’ sexual assault was swept under the radar.

didn't john mccain try to get a bill passed long ago that would forbid servicemembers from having white supremacists tattoos? It didn't have enough votes to pass but at least John Mccain knew that sh@t was not good for our military

Everyone here 📢 Write or call your Senators now, demanding they veto and reject Hegseth. Use @resistbot to easily reach any and all of your reps, about anything anytime 🇺🇸 Use your voice. Our voices matter.

I think we are all completely shocked, first that this nation would destroy itself rather than dismantle racism, bigotry and misogyny and secondly most of us have lived in a stable democracy for most of our lives so it’s difficult for our sensibilities to truly understand what is happening.

Not the Jerusalem cross - everyone is mistaking it for the Nazi iron cross. It's different. I have one on my ankle and trust me, I am not now, never have been, never will be associated with that type of politics!
