On Canadian retaliatory tariffs - expected. My thought is that the tit-for-tat stuff is nothing compared to what Canada can actually do, if these shenanigans continue.

WHat is Canada waiting for? Shut off the flow of all energy products for two weeks before the midterms. Seal the deal for us. Our congress is useless. We're getting shot in the streets by masked thugs for protesting. FBI shows up for social media posts??

Any world leader who actually calls Trump out, calls him a fascist, a felon, a rapist, a paedophile, the most moronic, corrupt leader America's ever had, etc, will enjoy an unprecedented level of popularity, in both their own country, and across the world. But all we seem to have are lickspittles.

How we have progressed so far has been cautiously. Rightfully so. Carney and team have a Plan. A,B & C. How we respond will be calculated. We need to trust who we voted for. American’s don’t have that option.

I will write an article on the Russia-US discussions, but to me it does look like behind US fuckery with Canada is Russia, as they did discuss the Arctic cooperation and if Putin manages to get Donald in yet another entangled conflict of any kind, his opportunities suddenly become apparent.

The world knows where Donald's allegiance is, he supports autocratic governments. The biggest insult to Ukraine and for for me was having his stupid son-in- law and his rich real estate buddy negotiate with Putin first. The two stooges.

Putin doesnt need to win the Arctic, he just needs Trump busy fighting Canada while Moscow walks into the vacuum. Divide the West and the frozen frontier hands itself over.

We need to pick one thing that will inflict heavy pain right now. I say an export tax on Electricity or Natural Gas. Like a huge surcharge. This might be an incentive for states to oust any Republicans and if they do, we can lower or eliminate the surcharge.

It's just wild how Russia, a country with almost no real economy, absolutely bitch slapped the greatest power the world has ever known. Currently raw dogging them. And the average American doesnt even know it's happening. Wild!

Don't forget to give credit to the selfish traitors & corporations who's only loyalty is to the one offering them more cash. The downfall of the US has been coming for decades... ever since they decided their corporations & rich were above the law.

Canada 🇨🇦 withholding or export-taxing oil and gas exports ? - virtually no chance that will happen as malcontent Alberta is strongly opposed. Escalating with an energy export tax is not a good idea anyway. This trade lunacy is bad enough already. IMO zero sense trying to out-lunacy the US 🇺🇸

No. Most Albertan's would support placing an export tax on oil and gas. The whiny AB premier and the American oil CEO's who funded her in her previous careers would cry foul, but caricaturizing Albertans based on a special interest group in unwarranted.

I hope Canada does not even talk about reducing electric power to the grid in the Northeast. (DJT will send troops across the border.) Rather threaten reducing chemicals and rare earth elements used in manufacturing. US and Canadian manufacturing are completely linked.

Canadian here! Good morning! And you’re right. We can do worse, much worse. And most of us have been pushing for it to happen. Many of our levers are provincial levers tho; energy, potash, water, aluminum, etc. For now there has to be a concerted effort. Later??? We’ll see.

For a start, never buy a motor vehicle substantially assembled in the United States. Publicize an accurate list of motor vehicles substantially assembled in the United States. Monitor the effectiveness of that boycott. Fix any deficiencies in the list. Publicize the boycott every day.

Check the car’s VIN (vehicle identification number). The first character of the VIN identifies the country where the car was manufactured: 1, 4, 5: United States 2: Canada 3: Mexico 6: Australia 9: Brazil or other South American countries J: Japan K: South Korea L: China M: India or Thailand

S: United Kingdom W: Germany Z: Italy Note: If a vehicle model is built in multiple countries, individual cars do not share a single generic identity. Instead, each individual car is assigned a VIN that reflects the exact country and plant where its final assembly took place
