Boomer here. While I agree some of the current members are too old I'm not convinced the younger generations can do anything major. They are too fragile, need mental health breaks, cry about their ADHD and dont want to come into an office. Prove me wrong. Ill wait.

Great vis. One really noticeable thing from that which may relate to the impression people have about lack of a Dem bench: The GOP ticket has pretty consistently had a VP considerably younger than the P (and trending younger in the last cycles). Whereas the D ticket very conspicuously has not.

Do a piece about how the rise of statins in the late ‘90s ruined US politics. All these pathologically ambitions pols who would have been felled by a heart attack in their 50s or 60s just hang on in a system biased toward incumbents. Ambition’s flame never fades; bodies and minds do.
