100% correct. YouTube is my go to place on my tv. With Netflix raising its prices I’m seriously thinking about canceling it. I’m not spending enough time there to justify the expense.

This tracks for me. My wife and kid watch stuff on YouTube more than anything else. See a movie? Better spend the next four days watching YT reviews etc.

I just wish there was a way to get people on a platform that I control and can own the first party data that would be as addictive as TT and YT. 😒

Exactly. You have to load up a full browser just to get rid of the shorts and all the crap that they keep pushing because they're trying to get their margins up. The good news is they haven't got an ad dollar out of me for probably the last 8 years 😁

I’m almost embarrassed to say it but YouTube is the first thing I put on and have been watching less of Netflix, Max etc. I can watch Pivot then a cat video then Pod Save America and another cat video etc. gotta have balance. 😁

Listened to the most recent pivot and I’m really disappointed with Scott re: Elon’s salute. It was so blatantly a Nazi salute and Scott giving the guy, who scott regularly says runs the biggest Nazi bar online, the benefit of the doubt make no sense other than they’re both in the rich guys club

@profgalloway.com the takes and bending over backwards for a literal Nazi salute were insane, I felt like I was taking crazy pills. meanwhile it seemed he was calling Ian Bremmer out a few weeks back for common decency. we live in the upside down.

YT isn't a stock. It's only 10% of Google stock. Beyond that, I agree. I'm a long time share holder.

Totally agree. I'm a TV and I live on YouTube, get it on TV & cell. Appreciate the education podcasts, world news and deep conversations with profound thinkers, like Diary of a CEO, Neil deGrasse Tyson, you and your guests, Scott. So many cross-media opportunities, too. Planning a podcast!
