Impeachment takes 2/3 of the Senate to convict. It's unlikely the Democrats will win that many seats, and almost as unlikely enough Republicans will defect. Impeachment and removal would also put JD Vance in the White House, not a great outcome. I'd prefer impeachment, but of both Trump and Vance.

The Geneva convention requires prisoners of war to receive humane treatment including medical care. The 5th amendment says that civil detainment (those not charged with a crime) must be non-punitive and provide for basic human needs.

Can confirm. Genuinely thought I was dying when I got one as a late teen. I only had to suffer for 30-40 mins before 💉💉💉. I once would have said 'I would not wish that amount of pain on anyone'. Seriously rethinking this position tbh 🤬

I live in Devils Lake, ND where inmates at the jail have had to do the exact same thing to get medical care. No matter your status as a U.S. cittizen when you are incarcerated you are in the care, custody & control of the state. "State" being either the Fed, or literal state, which is responsible.
