"If you guys want to change the conversation and you want to stop a nomination like Matt Gaetz, you gotta stop saying the Republican Party is morally bankrupt. Because the American people are going to immediately turn that off and say, "We've already voted beyond this. We're moving past this.'"

I have to agree - the majority of the electorate is either amoral or too uninformed to understand the concepts. But that doesn't mean dems should stop pointing it out. It just means we need new tactics - like a 3rd party focused solely on anti-corruption.

As a republican never Trumper, I will say MAGA is a cancer that invaded the republican party. The republican leaders should have excised the cancer early instead of ignoring the rule of law for their own personal gain. Republican leaders could have stopped this twice, and they FAILED.

Like it or not, her point stands. Running on the moral bankruptcy platform didn't get us the results we want. Because when people can't afford food and the gross guy says he'll make it affordable, people won't care how morally bankrupt he is. Trump Sucks cannot be it for us. We can do better.

Sometimes the truth hurts, and the truth is that the GOP is morally bankrupt. Another truth: we have not moved past it, and I, for one, refuse to move past it. The conversation is currently about cabinet nominations, and we aren’t changing that either.

TBH, I don't think it matters much if Hegseth (or Gaetz) is approved or not. Trump will just get some other dipshits to do whatever he wants in those posts. I'm afraid that there's just no way at all to avoid the pain that will be levelled on all but the very rich over the next few years.

I mean when they keep showing their moral bankruptcy…we point it out. Is it our fault half of the country is ‘la la la la la la’! Or should we be complicit? They want us to move on! That is the trick.

You can expect the immorality and the bankruptcy of values in what was once the Grand Old Party. It's the voters who voted for a convicted felon and America's biggest traitor in history who are the most morally bankrupt people this nation has ever seen!

If they are morally bankrupt, then you pretty much have to recognize that fact. With that said, it shouldn’t be held against them if they themselves realize at some point how wrong they once were. You have to give them room for redemption.

Okay. So in other words, don't say the unspoken thing out loud? I for one WILL NOT kowtow to the Republicans. Fuck their feelings. This is why we are in the mess we are in. We keep excusing and hoping they will do the right thing and they won't. Stop the insanity and begin the resistance.
