How many batches are planned for the Core Time 2?

I asked in the AMA and never got a response, but why does the TOS for repebble include permissions for a subscription service? Is this to finance features (like how rebble works) for the OS?

Nope, it's just there because it's boiler plate. But we might do something like that in the future, who knows

Is there iOS support expected? Pebble's app got pulled but I'd hope this works on iOS.

I'm an engineer with a 6.5in wrist. I want color coded notifications, but the larger watch prob won't fit well. Is it easily physically hackable so I can put the guts in a custom 3D printed chassis?

Hello there! My main concern is about the cover material of the buttons in the Core 2 Duo. They used to disintegrate quick. Is the same material being used?

Many folks may have questions about the buttons on Core 2 Duo given reports of Pebble 2's suffering from button problems over the last 8 years. A few things: We designed a new piece of plastic that reinforces the buttons from the inside.

We tested this change with a button pressing machine. The new design lasts for 30% more presses (60,000 presses) Here's a video of it being tested: bsky.app/profile/eric...

New watches have new inputs/outputs like touchscreen/speakers. Will the SDK be released to support those?

All watches will ship direct from production and testing in China.

I've never owned a Pebble before, so I'm curious: is there some sort of subscription service planned for storing data from the watch? Will it alternatively be self-hostable? Or what's the plan here?

I'm just wondering what else the Nordic nRF52840 BLE chip has - threads, Zigbee, NFC A TAG... what is possible with the Core Time 2?

No idea. We're just focused on BLE.

Will there be any other health features? Fall detection? Emergency SOS?

1. Can I choose a color for Core Time 2? Yes you can! Just not yet. We are finalizing all the color options and will contact everyone prior to shipping so you can choose which color best suits you! Just make sure your contact information is correct for your pre-order

2. Can I turn off various features? Yup! No problem. You don't want the HR feature, turn it off. You don't want the touch screen, turn it off. As always the Core devices will be in your hands and on your wrist. You can control the device as much or as little as you wish. You bought it, its yours!
