really something to see tech YouTuber types calmly discussing the latest Tesla or SpaceX business news without once mentioning Elon’s 50 Day of the Rope posts per day or his murdering 700,000+ people

X owner Elon Musk indicates he would prioritise political violence (assassination of pro-migration politicians is the common sense meaning) over violence against "invaders" (refugees, asylum seekers, maybe ethnic minorities generally) while endorsing call for violence (killing) against both groups

The saddest part is that I hear so little from elected Democrats about musk. They need to declare all out political war on him and his cohorts when they are back in power. At minimum cancel his government contracts. Ideally nationalize spacx and starlink

Stephanie Ruhle basically worships Elon, and once called him and DOGE the "SEAL Team 6 going after Fraud, Waste, and Abuse." That's a mainstream news anchor on a left leaning platform, poisoning the minds of her viewers.

So true! I heard a summary of his batshit raving lunacy on Joe Rogan recently. Conspiracies, lies, dissembling, etc. How does anyone in the business press still give credibility to anything that comes out of his mouth? Some % of his shareholders are fanboys but what about institutional investors?

Right? It’s completely insane, and yet. I think cult researchers are gonna have to come up with a new model to explain the very specific blindness deployed by Musk stans as they ignore his daily calls for genocide on a platform they subscribe to.

Or -- even if you're an immoral bigot who doesn't care -- his lifelong pattern of broken promises, lies to stockholders and business partners, and enshitification of companies he acquires. Even if I were purely motivated by finance, I'd sooner partner with Bernie Madoff.

also reminded of the ongoing Vichy Twitter addicts who come on here every couple of months to give a purple faced tirade against the entire userbase because some of us were annoyed at a bad article they or their friend wrote

The nice thing about the purple-faced tirade imagery is that you can imagine they have to go back to Twitter because they’re worked themselves up so much that they’ve turned into a giant blueberry like Violet Beauregarde.

He's almost certainly committed varying varieties of securities fraud. Even if he gets a blanket pardon from Trump on the way out, just wait a bit and he'll do it again - and then you could throw the book at him. Potential jail time, ban on serving as an officer in a publicly traded company, etc.

Musk has made enough claims that would put him on the wrong side of a national security statute that I think we should take him at his word: you are a regular ketamine user? No more security clearance for you. Talk to Putin regularly? Tell these large Polish dudes all named Boris about it. Etc

The Times yesterday blamed Zohran personally for the stabbing outside the synagogue. The world's richest person putting out death threats against journalists for interviewing him with 1% pushback and not pure adoration might call for a story? Naaa

The Key Man Risk is hard to quantify. The only reason his companies have their current market caps are because everyone thinks he's a genius. If he dies or everyone starts considering him to be an idiot, those capx's gets crushed

On July 22nd, 2011, a Norwegian RW extremist bombed a government building and gunned down ppl at a Labour Youth camp. Using that logic. In his mind the Labour party were the traitors. We said "the trolls will explode in sunlight". But no, the trolls got awarded prizes, and now runs big business.
