Like how games like Nu:Carnival do. I mean, NU:C is a R18 game with explicit gay sex, there's no way it's allowed on any app store. So they just distribute the APK on their website. It's sad especially because it's be so easy to just make parental control w/ safe search work but whatever.

Actually causing people harm is fine, but depicting it in fiction is bad, yanno? (Reminds me of how Balatro got an M rating for 'gambling', despite no real money being involved once you've bought the game, but games with lootboxes you buy with real money routinely get E ratings)

I didn't even know that DDLC was on mobile devices, but yeah, it really sucks how the Google Play Store would remove this game while allowing alot of mindless slop there.

I’m inclined to agree to a degree for me at least. I think what does make DDLC most special though is the intent infused into the game, from conception till now. While many games aim solely to distract or entertain, DDLC demonstrates the medium‘s capacity to foster self understanding and connection

Google is taking an L today. #DDLC is a game from 9 years ago, and it's still popular. Idk why it's been removed due to Mental Health reasons. It's a horror game for crying out loud.

I have to add that the switch version of DDLC+ has a whole group of chapter where you (the protagonist and the cataclist of bad event) are not there. Thoses chapter tackle heavy subject with knowledge and hope, not malice. Google failling to see that says alot about conservative behavior on media

Have you received any written notice from them and are you willing to share what they said publicly? I think we can safely say that DDLC is not worse than a large number of movies that are available on the Play store.
