It was 5/1/81 in the Hampton Colosseum. Hitchhiked from my alma mater, Virginia Tech and attended my first show, and introduction to the Deadheads. Grateful for folks like John Mayer keeping things on truckin until I could take my own kid to see them at the sphere. RIP Bob #greatfuldead #bobweir

I'm not a big fan of live music. I hate the crowds, the fact I can't adjust the volume, etc. But seeing the Dead in 1990 is a cherished memory. I would have loved & Company, but it never happened...

I met Bob Weir at in the 80s. I had heard of the Grateful Dead, but had no idea who he was. We talked about woodworking, a hobby we shared. I didn’t learn he was the Grateful Dead’s founder & guitarist until we had emailed several times and my boyfriend saw one of his notes. Really nice, smart man.

Add me the list of being there for those three shows along with 15 over 5 weekends and 2 years at the sphere. Now I really have had this may be the last time….. 47 years for me was a hell of a run RIP Robert Hall Weir.
