a while back I was gifted a 5.25" 12v cigarette lighter and I'm disappointed in myself for only having a workstation case with no external bays

For a while, back in high-school, this was my "when I'll have lots of money I'm going to get one of these" PC component. And it wasn't even this version, since SATA and USB 3 weren't a thing at that point.
