I think he's wrong about section 4. Sounds like he's against universal basic income in the belief people with UBI would refuse to work. People SHOULD be able to refuse to work. Studies show that around 96% would keep having jobs. The power to refuse would improve bargaining power and job engagement.

Ron Howard grew up surrounded by family & cast members with the same beliefs. I grew up watching The Andy Griffith Show & Happy Days in the early 70s when there were only 3 channels! But Ron is right. To be the greatest country on earth, America has a 3rd world government, and its citizens are poor.

About #4: I believe there is a certain minimum level of sustenance that should come automatically as a human being and a citizen/resident. I also believe that you should be able to improve yourself beyond that with the fruits of your labor, and that most people WANT to feel useful and productive

When Americans accept that right wing policies do not work, we can return to policies that create a civilized nation.
