Hey corporate media, Thou shalt not spend thousands of hours on one CEO’s shooting and only one hour on a classroom of children.

I don’t have a real answer, maybe there isn’t one. But not until we stop watching the kowtowing networks will they feel it. Take away the money, then they feel it.

Don’t tell me they have moved on from the shooting yesterday already? I mean if shooting kids is now “normal” news shooting a CEO is a novel news story - we are f’d up as a country! They covered the CEO and ignored the two kindergarteners that were shot a few weeks back.

Good commandment GOD. It’s about time. Carlin kind decimated the original list you had. I agreed with George’s revised list, especially the “spooky language, SPOOKY LANGUAGE” assessment. Good to see you make some progress here.😎👍

They want us to care about the CEO more. Those children dying out there, including the kindergarteners that were shot on the same day as the CEO are just disposable peasants to the wealthy. Journalists and their bosses lack the integrity and backbone to start talking about what really matters.

I have family in Madison and I went to check the news on ABC's page they interrupted it with a pop-up about drones. But you know, Lord? Forgive them for they know not what they do. And don't expect them to ever figure it out either.

Holy shit I never thought about it like that children get killed in this country. It’s a blip on the radar of our press, but heaven forbid that a CEO gets killed someone who would take advantage of the poor who would watch with glee as he rips away benefits from those who are in need children dying

Why is it OK for government and business to commit acts of violence against its citizens and not expected citizens to meet them in kind?

A school shooting happens. A press conference is held. People comment online. News reports it for a few days. Nothing happens. Another shooting happens. The cycle repeats itself.

For them, the shooting of a CEO or any other disgustingly wealthy person is an absolute travesty. A shooting school, as long as it doesn't involve a private school that any of the wealthy or powerful's children attend, is just another statistic to them.

Unfortunately, it is because another school shooting is no big, surprising news, but someone who craftily sought to take out the CEO of one of the biggest organizations in the country, in a Robinhood type fight for justice for the masses is something "fresh" and unique. Both are appalling events.

2 completely different school shootings in2 weeks, one on the day the CEO was killed and one today and the mainstream media still doesn't give the time it deserves & is still talking about 1 guy. School shootings have become all too common in the US.

Maybe if there were more ceo shootings they would lose its importance and not be mentioned as much. As long as the US keeps selling assault rifles to anyone who wants one then jt doesnt matter if you miss a school shooting, therell be another soon enough

I used to play a LARP RPG and one of the rules of both IC and OOC interactions was literally "Don't be a fucker." That should have been the 11th Commandment. It's just big enough to get a whole tablet.

Dead children is just another ho hum news day? Think about the number of shootings this year. And then consider how many of them actually received 1 hour or more of attention? As a group, we are nuts!

"And the Lord spake, saying, 'Verily I say unto thee, a classroom of children is a tornado of snack crumbs and broken crayons - far more dramatic than just one executive getting popped. For what's a CEO but one dude who forgot his security detail?' (Book of Peppermint Confections 7:14)"

That’s the problem with mainstream media these days. They focus on one thing & one thing only for so long to try to shape the narrative, instead of focusing on the news at hand & keeping things factual.

I opened my Washington post app and the first story was about the BS Trump said at press conference without pointing out the BS. Second story was about children shooting children

“Preach, Lord! When profit-driven narratives overshadow humanity’s pain, we’ve lost our way. A CEO gets endless airtime, but the silenced voices of children barely echo. Media priorities speak volumes—tragically, they’re not saying ‘justice.’ 🙏📺 #FixThis”

It breaks my heart when a child's life is considered so unimportant. Just like when woman's life is less important than a fetus which is mostly a cellular mass in the early developmental stages. 💔

A lot of people in the replies have probably spent the last two weeks talking non-stop about the CEO’s shooting and his shooter, but are happy to blame the corporate media for their own obsession with the topic

Lots of hours on a white CEO’s murderer-while CEO’s career was based on denying medical treatments to increase profits, then followed by about an hour on a homeless, disturbed, black man’s murder and his killer’s exoneration. No discussion, no comparisons. Our media is f**ked up.

What about the quashing of the anger that has made Luigi a folk hero, as well? The pearl clutching about making Luigi a folk hero, with constant "violence is not the answer" w/o talking about the violence committed by h/c insurance denials is quite unbalanced as well. And far more numerous.

They can't see that. If the people working for them had to go around hospitals and plug people out of machines and slap the meds, insulin etc out of their hands, there would be an outrage. Since it's all been done behind desks I guess it's fine that it's essentially mass murder.

And, in doing the CEO murder coverage, fail to mention Brian Thompson's betrayal of the UHC Board and shareholders with insider trading before news of federal investigations hit the street. Still a possibility that the lack of security was a set-up...

Wouldn't it be great if the corporate media spent as much time talking about the number of people who die because they can't afford medical treatment or even insulin? How medical debt is the #1 cause of personal bankruptcy in the USA? Oh, wait, ad revenue from Big Pharma and insurance. Yay, profits

Seriously! And I heard about it first from my local news station here in Arkansas. I guess all the big corporate media outlets were too busy kissing king Donny’s ass to notice another school shooting.
