I hope the corrupt, geriatric establishment understands that their time is over. Retire now and retain what’s left of your legacy and life. Or die in disgrace.

wow... that's quite a threat... maybe the young should get to work, organize and turn out the young vote instead of thinking they are ENTITLED to something they never earned thru effort... you sound like a Very Rich Child.. the world owes you..

But you're pretty old too, G-d, & I listen to you. You're not stale :) Being old is more than just being wistful. Life is understood backwards, wisdom & all. I'm nostalgic for a healthy, sturdy middle class, nostalgic for the rule of law, nostalgic for normalcy, nostalgic for a shared reality.

I don’t want to hear anyone say they should get a certain position because it’s their “turn”. We need the right person regardless of seniority. Plenty of other career options, hell might not even have a career if we can’t get the right leaders in place.

Some of us older pains in the asses have actually gotten more obnoxious. I was a union pain in the ass for all of my working life. Now I’m just a pain in the ass for free. My feeling is; I’m already in poor health, what are they going to do to me? Arrest me? 🖕 FDJT and the GOP. Come and get me!

I get it. Been voting since 1976. I just don’t understand why some could not see the difference between a race baiting fascist and a competent liberal woman. We have a right wing Supreme Court because people cannot see forest between the trees. 🌲

the point of the corrupt geriatric establishment is to keep things simple for the billionaires who want to control and orchestrate what happens in both parties. if we had young courageous leaders, some would be impossible to corrupt, and that would be challenging

Time to turn sharp left to fix America and finally become a genuine welfare state with free healthcare, education, childcare, heavily subsidized housing, etc, etc. No more totally failed Neo-liberal billionaire boosting policies from Reagan/Clinton on-- It's FDR/LBJ time for good, baby!

You make a serious point but it does has something of a hypocritical slant when you are believed to be the most ancient embodiment of the soul of all humanity/existence & even had your very own nepo-baby pulling 'daddy tricks' when people tired of so many stories & just wanted miraculous examples.😐

We support Dems who are doing something regardless of age. Harris won (it's highly improbable that tRump won all 7 swing states by just enough to avoid recounts), yet establishment Dems immediately started infighting & blaming Harris, rather than do a proper investigation into the 2024 election!

I think there's a group of "establishment Dems" who don't blame Harris but the people who were running things- idea we had to tip-toe around Trump's gross incompetence during pandemic was a huge mistake. I never saw an ad with Trump's Woodward call- where he admits he lied to Americans. Complicated.

Then when they *falsely accused* Harris of causing inflation, she offered to "lower costs." If someone falsely accuses you of burning down their house, in response you don't offer to build them a new house. When they lie about a person the person should get PISSED.

Now, they're back to their standard response since Reagan, which is to pretend that the "loss" was the fault of the progressives & use that as an excuse to move a little more right. We need an actual opposition to tRump's fascism. We need younger people with the energy to fight the fascists.

Are you kidding? They dropped $30 million on Cuomo in his last week. They are far from over I'm afraid they will be back and in greater numbers. I mean, you are going to topple all the hard work they never did.

It is really hard for people to relinquish power, to step down, to give up their car keys, and admit it's time to quit. It helps when the younger generation can say, "It's ok, we got this," and then show they really do have it. They still remember when they were the new kids taking over. Patience.

They have the best free healthcare available. They’ve obviously made a shit ton of money. Maybe they’re worried about losing everything they have & scammed for. Can’t imagine what that must be like. Pity…

Their time is over. Career politicians who are grasping at whatever scraps they can to stay in power and continue living off the dole. When that overrides integrity, it's time to fade away.

Its not hard to figure out, right? You did your time, now let the pissed off youngsters have a shot. It seems the genx politicians started to become aware, but they still want to work across the fucking aisle. I say burn the fucking aisle down and lead!!!

It's not just age. It is being g out of touch, entrenched, and bought. One can be older and not any of those things. Young does not always equal better. Old does not always equal worse. The best way to address this issue is for the voters to be informed and vote for who represents their interests

Experience is valuable. Fresh ideas are valuable. A balance of both is ideal. We saw this in New York City. Someone who spoke to the values of the voters won. They voted for ideas/values, not. If an older person had those ideas/values, I'd support them as well.

Considering their lady clothed with the sun is watching their hypocrisy and hate, I think they should know we are firing up the pit. Check that ring of fire out, boys and girls! It's about time to go for a swim.

This boomer thinks the established Democrats worry about losing. I would challenge them to start TODAY to mentor and support your successor! Every member of Congress has a personal staff, stick around for a year as a consultant, then retire in dignity! That's what happens in private industry.

Katie Britt replaced octogenarian Richard Shelby. God's will. Sorry Ron Wyden. You are still having town halls and raising hell in Congress, but you are 76. The quality of your work doesn't matter. I hope you have some staffers in their late twenties that you have been mentoring.

Hey, I’m 71 and have known this for a long time. I am thrilled to vote for younger candidates. And I don’t understand people my age and older who want to keep people their age and older in office. (Maybe it’s because I have Gen Z triplets?)

Of course not. And older isn't always wiser. I have two older Senators and one older Representative. They still do excellent work, so I will continue to vote for them. But I also think they won't be working into their 80s and 90s.

When I was young, 1960’s and 70’s, I was so excited that our young generation was going to be in power some day and the 🎶“world will be a better place”🎶 I am utterly disappointed in who became the “leaders”. I wish those espousing “Love Everyone” had not been silenced.

Are you speaking politically or just in general? If in general, I am offended, I am considered “elderly” just because I’m 65. I work 12 hour shifts taking care of the sick and injured. On the night shift. I don’t think the patients care what my age is as long as I can do my job well.

Their parents saved us from the Nazis. In return, they grew up with false exceptionalism, deranged entitlement, and unbridled greed. The Boomers. That is their legacy.

How unfair to lump all boomers together. Look at the crowds protesting.Tons of us. We fought to end the Vietnam War, women's rights, racial equality. Gen X? Not a single protest or real political energy at all. They were supposed to take over as we aged but didn't. No one generation is responsible.
