If the British public are the bosses then why is Burnham pushing deeply unpopular austerity measures and segregationist policies? He's perfectly happy to do things without a mandate when it suits him.

The absolute hypocrisy of Burnham “THE PUBLIC ARE THE BOSSES” regarding the uk rejoining the EU, yet Scottish independence is “OFF LIMITS”, no matter that a majority in Scotland support independence 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 The message from uber-unionist Burnham is clear : “SHUT UP SCOTLAND, GET BACK IN YOUR BOX” 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇪🇺😎

We know politics has been a joke since Thatcher, but the idea that the public are the bosses is about as ludicrous as you can get! Corporations, external political tactics, influencers, advisors & funders have been the bosses for 47+ years since neo-liberalism replaced social democracy.

I think even if there was a new referendum on the UK rejoining the EU (there won't be) and it passed (it might not) it would be a decade before the EU would take the UK rejoining seriously. Not after what it put them through with Brexit.

1001. "British people are the bosses" Andy Burnham. But not when it comes to British justice. Why has the Labour Party covered-up the widespread dissatisfaction with the regulatory and ombuds injustice in Rip-Off Britain?

I’m pretty sure spiteful crank oligarch donors are actually his bosses and that’s just another bare faced cynical lie from Labour
