Just for the record, Coors may be brewed in Colorado, but it's owned by an international beverage conglomerate (for years) that's now based in Toronto. OTOH, Corona & Modelo are brewed in Mexico, but are owned by a US company (Constellation Brands) based in Rochester NY.

Exclusive distributor. AFAIK, they also own/operate the two breweries they import from. My larger point is that there are almost no independent, "Made in America" food/beverage brands available to US consumers anymore. Nearly all of them are owned by enormous multi-national conglomerates.

Went to school in Boulder in the late 80s/early 90s. Didn't drink it then because they were the biggest polluter of the groundwater in the state. Mind you, Rocky Flats was open at the time. Hard pass.

Coors has been on the wrong side of everything since it's founding. They've always been a right wing anti-environment anti-everybody but the white male organization. I've never drank Coors. Boycott Coors!!!

I seem to recall becoming aware of this during Reagan and have always avoided since then. There are better very low alcohol content, shit beers out there if that's your jam (which is mine on the regular btw...).

June 14 used to be just a birthday. Now it’s a line in the sand. A day to reject monarchy in all its forms. No strongman cosplay. No kingmakers. Just a clear reminder of what a republic is—and who betrayed it. Spend your money like your freedom depends on it. Because it does.

Boycotting Coors by Mexican and Hispanic Americans started back in the 1960s. And in the 1970s everyone I knew refused to buy Coors because the company was funding right wing groups, and union busting

That’s funny, when I was in Ireland Coors Light was on tap in just every pub I visited in Dublin and Limerick (even areas that weren’t touristy). Thought it pretty odd at the time. Not a fan of the beer or the company, for the record.
