We've released v0.0.247 for DELTARUNE Chapter 5 on Steam/PlayStation. This fixes a number of minor issues and bugs across the game. We plan to continue with a couple more patches.

Probably not, there are literally glitches to get two dealmakers in a similar way and Toby didn't take those back (mainly because it's hard to detect)

Do you still get to keep the justice axe if you took it before thid update was released? I grabbed it the day of the official release of chapter 5 and now I'm worried that I lost it without realizing.

all the other attacks are totally doable, you just gotta plan ahead with your healing for when you think the difficult attack is going to happen the key to winning that boss is knowing when to heal and when you can risk it instead

I still don't understand people's problems with this attack. Just look for which rows and columns have bombs in them and don't go there This is one of her easiest attacks imo, I struggle way more with the Evil Tunnel™ (not that that needs to be nerfed either)

it's possible to make the mental calculation, the problem is how little time you're given to process that information, know where exactly to go, and then physically go there before the bombs explode. and pink starts throwing the next volley before the previous one even finishes exploding

Maybe I've just played too many grid-based puzzles or something and it gave me super heightened abilities against grid-based attacks (used to play Mario's Super Picross multiple hours daily for months and only stopped because my Nintendo Switch Online subscription ran out lol)

Everyone’s flaming you but I agree 💔 it’s only because I have bad eyes and it feels a bit clutter-y, maybe during the bomb attack it’d be nice to remove the lines or something so I can seeeeee

the problem i have is mainly that the patterns are extremely hard to predict with how quick the bombs go off all i’m rlly asking is to add some lines indicating where the bomb will explode.

The trick to the cross shaped explosions isn't knowing where and when each bomb goes off, but which spot isn't directly horizontal or vertical from any of them. Process of elimination rather than dodging each one individually

The bombs are annoying but not that hard, you guys beat the Knight but can't beat Mew Mew? It's pretty much just getting good at Bomberman, theres a really good item on the shop that heals your whole team, get a bunch of them, for me it took like 6 tries, the Knight took 3 hours for my first win

Nice to hear there'll be a couple more patches. I'm hoping the oversight with Jackenstein dying if you didn't kill the Titanspawn with Banish gets fixed since a lot of players who got the Black Shard are gonna do just that, plus we literally see him survive before that.

we thank toby on this day for killing fanon mastermind friend for good, and we welcome in the friendlings. this is a good day today ( deltarune <- keyword for spoiler evidence)

friend is one creature that operates on the same level as gaster/ close to it. this could include: -friend is eram -friend is mike -friend is controlling the knight etc all basically deconfirmed now that we know friend is a hoard of creatures that arent that smart ( deltarune)

I think there's still room for some form of "leader" FRIEND; hunting packs typically have a leader, and cat colonies have a "hub and spokes" structure with one leader cat and the rest as equals underneath. Don't get me wrong, FRIEND(s) is not a mastermind! They're probably more of an enforcer.

I forgot that app sucks too lol I can't watch anything without an account I'll just wait until this site works again but I appreciate your help 👍

Toby with all due respect, it's the principle of the thing that makes me dislike the dynamic difficulty. It doesn't matter how minor the change is, I still don't enjoy the idea of a boss being made harder just because I took more tries on it. I wanna learn the fight exactly how it was attempt 1.

Yeah, I plan on telling my friends who play it that. But its just kinda an annoyance at that point, and the people who don't know about it might just have a silently worse experience in a way they don't even know about.

You're right that it's something I probably wouldn't notice if I wasn't reading patch notes, but it's just something that kinda silently sours a victory if you won with a nerf. It doesn't feel good to learn about and it really should just be a toggle.

Hello Deltarune Team. The game has the bug again where connecting/disconnecting a controller during the game will reset the keyboard controls to default. The previous chapter had a fix for this but now it's back in chapter 5. :( Thanks.

not directly, but you can change your binds for z and x broadly, which includes those. and, if you just want to flip their order, but keep them on the same buttons, there is an option for that specifically for the platforming sections

Can you guys make Susie gets her +4 magic from Chapter 4 in Chapter 5 in one of the patches? It's narratively unsatisfying for someone to immediately lose progress after the arc of "work towards something to get better at it" and mechanically disinteresting to have a party member with low magic.

For anyone checking the comments this snippet was added this patch for some reason, with the trigger apparently being getting the Chapter 5 Egg and activating the weird TEST_PLATFORM with Friend inside it during one of the 2D sections. I'm so fucking scared right now.

"fixed an error where text boxes can overlap and you can walk around with the menu open" it's the fucking punchcard again isn't it
