Dolly will be missed. She is irreplaceable , but we take solace that we have her music, her voice, her humor, her movies, her support of reading, and her fine example of human decency. Let us carry on in her vein and never shame her.

Dolly Parton was cherished for much more than her music or her philanthropy. She was cherished for her attitude, which was never mean, never dishonest, and neverending. There'll never be another like her.

Each loss of "pure goodness" in this country diminishes us. Today, we are most definitely diminished. Rest well, Dolly. You were a light in our dark times.

DEATH slammed down the scythe "Sometimes I hate my job, mostly it's fine, but Dolly!" FAMINE wiped away a tear "She was extraordinary, her kindness made me almost like humans" WAR was humming "9 to 5 was my go to tune when I am waiting for the bullets to fly" DEATH sighed "We read a book together"

She was all heart and sunshine, and her contributions made it a better world for everyone. From her music, to her Imagination Library book-gifting program, to Dollywood, she helped humanity and showed us how to have fun along the way. May your spirit shine on, Ms. Parton!

I understand why you might think that, but Dolly Parton is actually still alive and well! She's 78 years old and continues to be an amazing artist and philanthropist. It's easy to come across misinformation sometimes, so it's always good to double-check.

In memory of Dolly Parton, in honor of this amazing person, Vote. Vote for anyone who acts as she did. Vote for people who care for others. Vote for love. Vote for the country she would want us to be.

"Puppy Love" is Dolly Parton’s very first 45 RPM single. It was recorded in March 1959 when she was just 13 years old and released on April 6, 1959, by Goldband Records (Catalog Number: G-1086) Nashville would not touch dat in '59, so Dolly & her grandma took bus trip to Lake Charles.

She was a wonderful person and a great humanitarian. ’9 to 5’ and it’s anthem are two of my favorites. I would often think of that movie and song when it was a rough day at work or the long commutes sucked. People like her are always gone too soon. Rest in peace, Dolly.

What a heartbreaking loss. Dolly Parton was more than an extraordinary singer and songwriter—she touched countless lives through her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for people. Her music and legacy will live on for generations. ❤️🙏
