Even if you assume the vaccine is not very effective or necessary for children, how would it lead to a lifelong line of shots? I mean, it could if you continue to think it's worth it, but it's not like you couldn't stop or would suddenly be at great risk if you did.

What is bad about a life long protocol of vaccines? Science has worked hard to find solutions to diseases that kill us at all ages. I am grateful for these advances. Children get sick and die of COVID and RSV, as well as other illnesses. Long COVID is lessened with fewer COVID cases in a lifetime.

yes vaccines reduce the risk of long covid substantially. thats not how vaccines work either, getting vaccinated as a child builds life long immunity, the only reason people need multiple vaccines is because viruses evolve very quickly which makes it difficult for vaccine makers to keep up with.
