Tesla demonstrated its long-awaited Roadster at a SpaceX facility, using four rocket thrusters to propel the car through the air. The demonstration marked a milestone for the supercar, which has been in development for nearly a decade. https://wapo.st/4Bac9YR

You could strap four rockets to a flaming dumpster fire and then you’d have a milestone in propelled flaming dumpster fires. Which, now that I think of it, reminds me of the new potential for a certain DC landmark.

Oh look Elon musks new clown car ShittyShitty BangBang oohhh must get me one of them said no one ever. What a pathetic excuse for a human he maybe rich, but he is still a grade one knob head.

Wow. So Awesome! This is the feature I have most wanted in a motorized wheelchair (some people call them ‘cars’). But will they still be able to crush children to death? * also* real objects do not move that way. The car would leave the road where it straightens. This is total made-up bullshit

It’s a nifty-looking demo, but raises questions: 1. How close is it to production-ready? It may be viable or it may be a POC. 2. How long will the thrusters last without recharging? (Most jet-packs only offer a few minutes of thrust.) 3. Will this ever be street-legal?

It's not even fancy tech. It's tech that got scrapped because way back when, they know there was Zero consumer need for this. How about a door that can be opened from the outside after an accident when the car is in flames....solve that one Elon.

They haven't been able to innovate any exciting new tech to keep investors bilked, so instead they decided to show us one of the rockets SpaceX already developed, except with the shell of a car instead of a rocket fuselage. Musk fans must think this will be a revolution in transportation.

Tesla is not a serious car company. Noone wants a cybertruck. Can they legally sell cybercabs? Models 3 and Y are almost a decade old. Now they come out with this ridiculous toy. What product do they have to sell?

Market manipulation by Elon Musk. This is a concept car. Taking down payments? Elon Musk ripping off shareholders and laughing all the way to the bank.
