Be quicker to count those who haven't been harassed, discriminated against because of their gender, talked down to and over, their appearance critiqued, and been propositioned. Also told to f-king smile more.

Quick question: what is happening with the relative size of the sections on this graph?

Oh, y'all. After several years at an IT job, the guy in the cubicle behind me - who I didn't think even knew my name - came rushing over shouting my name and saying he really needed my help... his zipper was stuck in his jacket and he couldn't get his coat off.

I don't get mistaken for the only other woman on my team all the time. I've never been told I'm aggressive. I've never learned to just keep talking over interruptors if I want to get a goddamn word in. I have never had credit stolen from me. I haven't been yelling about this for years. /s

Yes, but that’s only because harassment exists in that environment. It’s a bit like saying “the longer you drive the higher the likelihood you witness a traffic accident”. The harassment shouldn’t be part and parcel of the environment.

That graph indicating less harassment probably just means that they stopped harassing her while she trained them all to make more money and get more promotions than she would. Right? Because this is what it's like in every career a woman has. Prove me wrong.

Tech went downhill when the finance dudebros got into it. I went from being a valued contributor to "abrasive", "asks too many questions", "doesn't ask enough questions", and "bossy". Yes, I had someone tell me I was bossy. I was reviewing code with someone. It's "bossy" if a woman does it.

Not minimizing the very real issue, but isn't the "the longer [any demographic] does [any experience], the more likely they are to have [any event]" Always going to be true, for literally any non-zero parameters?
