“Representative government and trial by jury are the heart and lungs of liberty. Without them we have no other fortification against being ridden like horses, fleeced like sheep, worked like cattle and fed and clothed like swine and hounds.” — John Adams

It’s day 13 of Trump‘s war and American media wants you’d be mad at Timothée Chalamet. To filter out the noise, I made a YouTube playlist (updated daily). Now at 200 videos, mostly from reputable international outlets. Sort by date so the newest stories are first. youtube.com/playlist?lis...

Also, now that the Dow is so far off of 50,000, I believe that according to the Pam Bondi Rule we are legally allowed to care about the Epstein Files again?

I’m just gonna say we’re getting to his pain point.

It’s hard to find news on the war, so I created a playlist on and I’m updating it daily. I’m focusing on reliable international reporting but please make recommendations for outlets you trust. Note: organize the playlist by date so the most current videos are first. youtube.com/playlist?lis...

Went back to Threads bc I had no engagement on BS (except for bots). Meta locked my account bc of the post below & are threatening to terminate it for violating standards. Why are we letting billionaires decide what we can and can’t talk about? It’s the antithesis of the internet we were promised.

It’s a terrible bill. It will literally kill people. The most vulnerable among us will suffer as the wealthiest benefit. It’s perverse. I wish there were something I could do. But alas, I am only a U.S. Senator from Alaska whose “no” vote would kill the bill. So I voted yes. You get it.

Elon backtracked on DOGE savings goals from $1 trillion to $150 billion. But watchdogs report only $12.6 billion in verifiable savings. That represents just 0.173% of the U.S. federal budget for 2025. We're losing vital government services for basically nothing in return.

Still wrapping my head around a President with 34 felony convictions snatching people off the street if they have a speeding ticket on their record.

My first apartment in 1994 was $350/month. Adjusting for inflation, that apartment should now rent for $744/month. It actually rents for $1500. Greed and inflation are hurting the kids, not their Starbucks lattes.

That Walz protest was pure astroturf, paid for by President Bone-Spurs. A disgusting, post-election, swift-boating stunt meant to demoralize his opposition. The kind of move only our vindictive draft-dodger-in-chief could dream up. There is no bottom to his shamelessness.

43% of El Salvador’s coffee production is bought by the U.S. Companies like Starbucks are key players. It’s time to put pressure on these companies and consumers to boycott Salvadoran coffee until Bukele releases Garcia and any others wrongfully detained.

The moment anyone can be taken off the street by anyone claiming to be police, America’s rule of law is already broken. What stops the next one from being a kidnapper with a fake badge? This is how freedom dies, not with a bang, but with a minivan door slammed shut on your rights.

15 years ago the Supreme Court decided corporations are people under the First Amendment. Today, billionaire political spending is up 160-fold since that ruling. Citizens United is among the worst decisions in history. It corrupts our system every day.

I’ve been getting them for years, but lately, getting emails that say stuff like “TELL DEMS IN CONGRESS TO…” is particularly disheartening, because if those people need me to tell them what to do, it’s already too late.

The top five egg producers own roughly half of all U.S. laying hens. The biggest of those corporations is Cal-Maine, which just announced quarterly profits of $509 million — more than 3x what it made a year ago. Corporate concentration + bird flu = a price-hiking free for all.

I realize Musk suffers from an incurable case of white savior complex, but what gave him the idea that after 250 yrs, what America really needed was a hostile takeover by the richest man on Earth? It’s a testament to how little he thinks of our country and of democracy in general.

Unidentified men grabbing someone off the street and putting her in a car because she wrote an op-Ed. This as flatly authoritarian as anything we’ve seen in this country in a very long time.

Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying. They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks. From WCVB: youtu.be/PuFIs7OkzYY

KARL: Do they have any due process at all? HOMAN: Due process -- what was Laken Riley's due process? (That's a "no")

If causing economic damage to Tesla counts as terrorism, then Elon Musk is public enemy number one. No one has done more to light the brand—and the stock—on fire. And he was motivated by politics.

Maybe the way to fix Section 230 is this: If a company wants its protections, it can’t algorithmically sort content—leave that control to users. But if a platform insists on curating feeds, they take on greater responsibility for what’s amplified. What do you think?

The U.S. forced Putin to invade, they say, by provoking Russia. They also say, “no one was tougher” on Russia than Trump who gave Ukraine javelins unlike Obama who was afraid to provoke Russia. And while Trump turns his back on our allies and aligns with Russia against Ukraine, they say nothing.

The level at which America is tuned out of this coup is mind-boggling. In 2025, most folks find politics too toxic to discuss even as their democracy collapses right in front of them.

For most of my life, Republicans have sold fear of government and a desire to weaken the state. But that rhetoric has either given way to (or was secretly always about) vesting monarchical power in the executive, usurping the Constitution and recreating exactly what America rejected at its birth.
