The Delhi High Court in India said the right of a minor rape survivor to terminate a pregnancy must be recognised as a human right, because refusing permission could affect her right to live with dignity.

“The children who are randomly selected not to receive the birth dose of the vaccine, those who “lost the lottery”, face in their earliest days the risk of contracting hepatitis B, which can cause irreversible lifelong damage.” No words. I am speechless. This violates all ethical boundaries.

Question: Does Israel have a right to exist? Correct answer: Your question is racist because it centres the coloniser rather than its victims. It's not Israel whose land is being stolen. It's not Israelis who live under brutal occupation. Ask me about Palestine's right to exist.

My heart breaks for all the living things our government is destroying. They will kill us all. There is no life to live on Mars. Where is the humanity?

Americans are relearning the lesson we learned during the Gilded Age of the late 1890s, when robber barons ran the government and the economy for their own benefit: Oligarchy is incompatible with the common good. I'm hopeful we'll respond with a new progressive movement.

In the 25 years since 9/11, the United States has spent $8 trillion+ on wars that have taken millions of lives in the name of fighting "terror." Can you imagine if we had instead invested those funds here on climate, health care, housing, and education?

What I hate most about 9/11: 1. People died. 2. US used 9/11 as a justification to hate on Muslims. 3. The US used 9/11 as a justification for more war mongering & imperialism in Middle East. 4. The majority of the US stops at number one & never considers the rest of this list.

The next phase in the abortion wars may come down to one question: Do the rights of red states to enforce bans override the rights of blue states to protect access? If Louisiana's lawsuit succeeds, it would wipe out online and mail access in states where abortion is legal.

Uber just announced it will lay off 10% of its workforce, or around 3,300 workers. Last year, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi made $35M — 360 times his median employee's pay — and announced a $20B stock buyback program to further enrich shareholders and himself. Textbook corporate greed.

Target paid its CEO $21.8M last year — 794x the median Target worker's pay of $27,506. Target has also spent $13.9B on stock buybacks since 2019, while remaining among the largest employers of Medicaid and SNAP recipients in America. This is what I mean by a rigged economy.

Amazing news!!! Birthing is a natural process - doulas and midwives reduce the need for medical interventions that insurance co’s want to shorten time in L&D beds. Can you next reinstate hospital privileges for midwives? Late 2010’s I birthed in nyc 2x & scavenged for midwife care with hospital ties

Proud to announce that New York City has registered a record 4,200 New Yorkers in our doula care program.  Pregnancy and childbirth are life-changing moments. No one should be forced to navigate them alone.

Horrific actions.
