you know times are dark out there when the guy who wrote "Baby Beluga" is posting stuff like this.

there are moments when “this too shall pass” really is a comfort. we humans let each other down.. it happens. however we may feel wronged, what is less known is how we may have wronged others. disappointment is a part of life. we’re wise enough to feel it, let go and move on.

Hey @npr.org your story this morning on the Mitch McConnell photo and press release was really really bad. It sounded like your reporter had actually spoken with McConnell! And that the obvious AI pic was real! I guess this time NPR is FAKE NEWS. I'm very disappointed.

the critical thing to know about Connie Chan is that she’s not just a NIMBY when it comes to housing. She also NIMBYs transit and bike lanes, opposing the ballot measure to save Caltrain and car-free JFK

I regret but am not surprised to report that one person still doesn't think hyperloop is transportation vaporware, because of course it's Elon--posting that the Boring Company "could build a Hyperloop tunnel from downtown SF to downtown LA for <5%" of a new CAHSR estimate of $126 billion.

I'm old enough to remember when the networks refused to carry an incredibly important speech at Independence Hall in Philadelphia by President Biden about creeping fascism in the U.S. because it was "too political". Sure, but they'll broadcast every minute of Trump's propaganda bullshit. 🙄

if elected leaders want to subsidize more roads to enable more driving, and do not want to allow more housing in order to avoid more residents, then it seems they perceive their real constituents to be cars rather than people

New York completely rejected left-NIMBYism today. we elected a socialist pro-housing mayor, and passed pro-housing ballot measures with a diverse coalition that was strongest in the Bronx, winning every borough by double digits (except the MAGA NIMBYs Staten Island)

We got almost 900 trick-or-treaters tonight! Got barriers from the city to keep cars out. Decorated and had interactive activities. Super cool haunted house next door. I did a roulette wheel to pick treat. Love my neighborhood!
