Another half an hour of my life wasted working through the problem > support website > irrelevant "FAQs" > dumbass chatbot > fill-in-form-and-get-a-ticket-number pipeline.

My ancient 2018 iPad Pro aged out of new iPadOS updates with 27. In the past this has prompted me to think about upgrading. This time it only produced a general sense of relief ;-)

cognitive omnishambles

A key part of the cognitive omnishambles in which we find ourselves is that everything now has a shitty AI generated summary that purports to tell you what's inside, but that no one ever checks for accuracy.

you don’t hold "AI" accountable; you hold AI developers, vendors, and corporations that profit off it accountable holding "AI accountable" is like holding a toaster accountable. it's an inanimate object. it doesn't have wishes, feelings, or desires

Three people, including a child, drowned in the Channel today. Our politics is so broken that the debate is never about how we stop these deaths and always about how we can come up with harsher policies that make more deaths inevitable.

Just had my flu jab at Tesco and it was shockingly quick, painless and otherwise not an issue. Consider this your annual reminder to book a flu jab 💉 Many companies will pay for it, either directly by issuing vouchers or through health insurance like Bupa.
