Went to a little indy record shop in Birmingham, loads of boxes of cool metal, hardcore, punk, indie alternative etc. I picked up these gems, some of them like Windhand I've been after for a while!

Three years ago, my dad said that all fish are the same shape. Out of spite, I decided to draw all 478 families of bony fish listed in Nelson 2016. There's still some stuff I need to edit and some fish I want to redraw but, after 985 days, I finished my big dumb fish project last night.

Well that was an ordeal with error messages I'd never seen before, but anyway the total broken laptop is now running again and the 12yo learned how to reinstall windows... with the help of Google obviously. It's running very fast like a new machine, so at least someone is happy.

I'm terminally bored with going round in pointless circles at work, I've counted how many working weeks left I've got this dull year... After this week it's 9. Three of those weeks in November are 4 day weeks. I've also got a bunch of cool gigs in November to make stuff more interesting.

In November I got gigs for Brat, Messa, Eyehategod and maybe 1000mods.... oh and Wormrot too, which is on the same night as a work event which I'm obviously ditching for Singaporean grindcore.

Sometimes only an intense Grindcore mix can get me through the last draining bit of a Friday afternoon. Oh and I'm seeing Wormrot again in November and can't fookin' wait!

Pissed up Sunday night public service announcement! The only thing air fryers are good at is Croque monsieurs and tandoori chicken. They suck at everything else!

Time for some Messa, I'm seeing them again in November, one of my favourite bands from last year when I got to see them twice. Mind blowing both times!

Had a couple of beers already and watched a filum, but now time for another beer and music. First up is Danzig 4 and a stout from the cupboard 🍻

Google pics reminded me of the Oktoberfest feast we cooked 6 years ago. The pork knuckle was great but the pretzels looked like dog turds. Great night had by all.

Swerved off slightly into Swiss prog folk metal from Cellar Darling. Saw them live a couple of years back and was blown away with how good they were.

Going classic British tonight... Just love the raw sound and early punky feel of the first Maiden albums... and that guitar tone on the lead 🤘

Spotted on FB, was at the Nottingham Rock City gig. Sepultura were massive at the time so pretty much anyone into metal from Leicester was in Notts for it. Awesome gig!

Saw Kuroishi at this gig in Leicester the other day, really fun hardcore type stuff from Finland, lovely guys and great fun talking to them after. The singer said Finland was all really cold and boring so that's why there were so many metal bands there.
