Fun fact: there is a town about an hour from where Vance grew up which is called Wapakoneta, Ohio. Ohio also has a Bucyrus, a Chillicothe, and a Xenia.

JD Vance says of the Middle East that it's "a region of the world made up of countries whose name I couldn't even pronounce"

Welp. Husband's library will be closed tomorrow because a kid in the school district was killed by violence today. My heart just breaks.

If we’re willing to organize and mobilize, if we’re willing to turn out in big numbers in Ohio and across this country, if we’re willing to vote for change and vote for Democrats up and down the ballot, then this election might just mark the moment this country began moving in a better direction.

My idiot neighbor is on Nextdoor using Fortunate Son lyrics to justify opposing property taxes for children, firefighters, and the disabled.

Warning! Spider!!!!!! . . . . I spotted this marbled orb weaver on our hiking trail out by our creek. Isn't she lovely?

If you want the ability to protest like Europeans are protesting, you HAVE to vote for candidates who are in favor of universal health care. Because nothing like that is happening here at a national, state or local level until our health insurance is unlinked from our jobs.

The guy whose name is circled owns Seasoned Brands, which operates Jasmine Bakery, Aladdin's Eatery, Taza A Lebanese Grill, Sittoo's Lebanese Grill, Boaz Fresh Lebanese, The Oak Barrel, and Forage Public House. Noo!!

Randomly thinking about how many fewer second cousins I'd have if they had prosecuted statutory rape back when instead of having the teen girl marry the adult man

Which reminds me of the time my Dad noticed at a family wedding that my sister and I both carried our drinks onto the dance floor. He realized it was because learned to never leave them out of our sights.

The fact that Amy Acton was removed from her mother’s care and went on to obtain an MD and flourish in public health makes her even more of a hero in my eyes. This type of trauma never really goes away. Yet when there was a fork in the road, she chose the one where she helps others. Hero.

Daughter has an at home asynchronous work day. So I get to witness first hand how she was super hyper focused on math and enjoying it for about 20 minutes and then BOOM. She lost interest.

Damn. Nestle is moving it's production to South Carolina. This is a huge loss for Solon and NE Ohio. As a lifelong Clevelander I am sick of watching companies abandon Ohio. But I remember when we had leadership that would fight to keep companies here. Solon is represented by Max Miller

Well. Daughter had just gotten on the school bus and we took a out three steps back home when the heavens opened up with a sudden deluge of rain. A bit soaked now, yes.

Wow, no jackass east coast fan reached into play to grab the foul ball final out. Just a bunch of nice midwesterners said "Ope" and let Steven Kwan do his business. Our culture is superior.

I finished all my Strongsville lit drops today. Find out now that someone keyed my car. Don't know if it happened today or our grocery shopping yesterday.

In Ever After, Leonardo da Vinci is well-versed in More's Utopia. The book was published only three years before DaVinci's death and very unlikely that he would have owned or read the book.

a grandmotherly woman just got booted from the Trump rally for protesting, and she went out like a hero talking trash and flipping the double bird

I don't know what I was thinking. I found myself in Target buying wrapping paper and a baby shower card. I got to the self-checkout and was like, "WTF Aimee, we're still boycotting Target." I was so mad at myself. ~~~ Then I woke up it was just a dream 😂 I don't even know anyone pregnant
