American institutions (and individuals) have more often than not punished Indigenous children and Black and Brown children— actual children— as adults, while excusing the behavior of white men. But hearing a white man calling his actions at 53 a "youthful indiscretion" really takes the cake.

Plus it’s always worth remembering that wanting a liveable planet, drinkable water, justice and human rights really isn’t that radical. What’s radical is setting fire to everything humanity knows and loves for profit and telling us it’s inevitable.

Yes and for all those who try and make the argument that those who haven’t gotten the benefits of data centers yet so we shouldn’t issue a pause - those politicians should decide if it’s worth getting voted out per this headline. We’ve seen in VA & it will continue here and elsewhere.

So how did Lula come from behind to defeat Bolsonaro? In short, turnout. Bolsonaro's vote share barely moved. But Lula banked millions of votes from those who didn't vote in the first round & won eliminated candidates' votes. A remarkable mobilisation. Second round turnout is usually below first.
