Game mechanics are famously not subject to copyright. That's why knockoffs of everything exists. The concepts of "words", "words on cards", and "playing a card to a table" are public and free for anyone to use as they wish -- and this is a good thing. Further; DOTH is just a clone of CAH anyway.

Children that begin a precocious puberty at ages years before they should normally are immediately and without concern given puberty blockers. They were invented specifically to stop puberty and have been used that way for decades with zero harm done to those who have needed them.

its insane how not many people are talking about how republicans with the help of several moderate democrats are building out the largest abusive medical conversion therapy operation in modern american history

Sorry, I'll be chill about this soon but like. The thing is right. Lilly. Right? Like from BOUND?!? The Matrix lady looked at Liv's script and our world and said 'yep. that's good. Let's get that made.' CAN YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I'M SCREAMING HERE?!?!?

Hard to get more evil, but here we are, I guess.

This is a useful article about a dangerous situation. I’m sharing it despite the source, but never forget that The Guardian has worked tirelessly to ensure the lives of trans people in particular are as miserable and dangerous as possible. Read this, but remember The Guardian sees a victory here.

B doesn't want equal rights for everyone. the thing about these 'purity test' fuckwits is they're the ones demanding purity. they also don't seem to understand that 'purity testing' just means 'politics'. if a candidate has far right view, which transphobia is, then they candidate shouldn't be a D

Mike@doa70.bsky.social

So you have A who wants being gay made illegal and women as brood mares. Then there is B who wants equality for everyone but doesnt want trans athletes to compete against women. And you think they are equally bad? You think B is just as unworthy of your vote as A? Thats a purity test.

The elections are on next Tuesday, and so much is at stake, including the soul of the Democratic Party when it comes to transgender people. I am asking you to leave a very small number of races blank in which a Democrat has embraced extreme anti-trans hate. I make my case here.

In the last few weeks i've been bombarded with emails from people who have minor tech support problems. ChatGPT is telling them to email me, writing their emails, and compiling "evidence packets" after convincing them they have stumbled on a major story: www.404media.co/chatgpt-keep...

Bluesky has fucked something up real good. When I hit the repost button it is adding a bunch of padding to the top of the page, which shifts the whole thing down far enough that I can't click the drop down that shows up, and can't repost it. Also my notifs are doing all sorts of weird shit.

It's like, "Oh, this is my sense of humor." This is the thing that I am unconsciously comparing things to when I am judging whether something is "funny." All art is in a silent competition with the half-buried memories of watching Gremlins 2 100 times between the ages of six and ten.

I think the thing that bothers me about this line of reasoning the most is that it completely erases the fact that trans people were actively and significantly involved with the LGBT movement, and are now having rights which were gained from decades of struggle actively removed by erstwhile 'allies'

We have already compromised away everything. Being treated as fully human is the last line, and it can't be given up on. And if it's forced to happen against us, Sun Tzu has some wisdom on cornering an enemy that becomes relevant.

Right, but that's the only story we have. James T. Kirk defeating the Kobayashi Maru, a literally impossible task, is our framework. Most people only consume and entertain stories in which someone solves the trolley problem, saving everyone. That becomes their framework of understanding everything.

It’s like a comedy sketch about a philosophy class, where the professor keeps trying to explain the trolley problem and the class just keeps saying “I would choose to save everyone” and calling the professor a Nazi when he says they can’t and that’s the entire point

Trans people will be much safer with the House controlled by Democrats, even if some of those Democrats suck. And yes, that's the better time to exert influence—because you can say, "look, we voted for you and got you elected, you better support us or we'll go elsewhere next time".
